Just great!

I was looking for a flat CAT6 cable when I wanted to run a wire between two levels in my previous apartment.
Of course I could use wireless, but wired is a much better option (esp. for HD media) if the cable does not become annoying - a problem that this cable solved completely for me.
I ran the cable along the baseboard and up the wall almost unnoticeable. When I moved out, I left the cable there as a courtesy to the next tenants...
In the next house I had to run the cable under the carpet, which again was useful using a flat cable, so I purchased the same product again, and easily slid it between the carpet and the baseboard.
It won 5-stars with my wife who hates my cables-everywhere mess.
I am starting to think a coupon for this product should come with every rental agreement for computer geeks ;)

Great Cat6 Cable

This is my first flat Cat6 cable. I've been running the standard round variety for years. I purchased this to run under the carpet/along the baseboard of the living room in an effort to get my Blu-Ray player on my network for the propose of streaming Netflix and Amazon On-Demand Video. This flat Cat6 ended up being a great solution. I was able to conceal it with no problem at all, and it cost a fraction of the other possible solutions (wireless access points, installing cable enclosures, etc.).

I will admit I was worried about the cable having poor construction, seeing how the price was so reasonable compared to other 50ft. flat Cat6 cables I came across. To my surprise, the construction is top notch and it seems like it will last as long as any other ethernet cable, flat or otherwise. I wasn't expecting it to be complete crap mind you (otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it), I just wasn't expecting it to be as well constructed as it turned out to be.

Another unexpected bonus was that I actually like the looks of the flat cable so much that I'm thinking about switching my other ethernet cables out to all flat Cat6 cables. The flat construction of the cable just makes it look cleaner and tidier then a standard ethernet cable. Its flexibility also makes it easier to manage if your trying to tie your cables together or neatly management them. So if you intend to run it out in the open or behind a desk you'll be able to achieve a clean look and a avoid a rats nest of cables if you choose to manage your cables for a more pleasing look.

So whether your interested in running your Cat6 under the carpet, along the baseboard, or neatly managing your cables behind a desk or computer, using a flat Cat6 such as this is the way to go. And yes, once you go flat, you'll never go back.

The cable worked as advertised. It is very thin and works at gigabit speeds. It comes packaged well in sturdy plastic that won't be damaged in shipping. I live in an apartment with lots of wireless interference so I fished this cable under my carpet and am now finally free of wireless!

Would like to report over 2 years later the cable is still working great! I'm kind of surprised considering how abrasive the bottom of a carpet is. Anyway, still recommend it!

Great Deal on CAT6 Cable

This just means I don't order from Cables Unlimited either because I don't know what I'll get. And it's bothersome that Amazon appears unconcerned; this is happening under their watch. The same experience was reported by another buyer recently.

Thin, Flexible, and Well Made

I needed a way to run Cat6 cable around the apartment without disturbing the carpeting or threshold strips very much. I decided to try this cable. It's great, better than I expected. The cable is flat, thin, flexible, and terminated in good quality connectors. It has a nice smooth finish. I did not run an A/B comparison to a different 50' Cat6 patch cable, but my internet experience is top notch when using this cable. If snaked under a carpet, it should be undetectable (Unless you snag the carpet pad with the fishtape, which will ruin your afternoon).

Perfect for being tucked between carpet and molding or just running along the bottom of a white wall with some thin double sided tape to anchor it in spots. Full gigabit connection to my router. My cable seems to actually have a big of packet loss, curious if it's due to the nature of it being flat or because of less shielding than other cat6 cables. So, I am not recommending you buy this unless your network can tolerate that.

Nice looking, very flat, thin cable
