Not suitable for high power applications

This cable was recommended with the HobbyKing 350W power supply (https://www.amazon.com/HobbyKing-350w-Power-Supply-100v~120v/dp/B00URCI26A). DO NOT USE THIS CABLE FOR THIS POWER SUPPLY. It cannot take the power required for this power supply. I melted this cable when running 240 watts through it. You'll have to do your own research and find a cable that can provide 350 watts of power. Look for computer power supply cables. You may have to go to a computer supply store to find this as it is not easy to find a random cable.

This rating is for the Amazon recommendation. It may be a decent cable otherwise (judging from the other reviews, it isn't, but I wouldn't know). Do not use this with the HobbyKing Power supply or for any high power use. It cannot handle it.

I forgot to pack my charger cable on going on vacation to USA. I ordered this before I left the UK (Friday) and it arrived on the Monday for me to collect in the US. The picture does not show the mickey mouse cable and it said people were purchasing these at the same time so I did this only to find one was included. Not sure of the length of the cable included, as using the separate 6ft one and left the other one in the US.

I am now using this as my main charger every day, as it also has a USB port allowing me to charge my phone at the same time without having a separate charger and had had no problems over the 6 weeks I have been using it. The charger is a little larger than Dell original but the convenience of not having to use a separate phone charger outweighs this. I have had no messages on my Dell XPS13 that this is not the original charger, nor on my phone to say that the phone is charging slowly, which I have had using some chargers.

Having contacting Dell to replace the original (and impractical) 3 foot Mickey Mouse power cord for my new Dell Laptop, and Dell unable to make any suggestions, I searched the internet for a 125W FLAT power cord. I wanted a flat as it is more flexible to bundle when traveling (and at least 6 feet which is more practical to use in public areas if necessary). I was very apprehensive to order after reading many of the reviews from people saying “not as pictured, this is a ROUND cord,” “did not work,” and others. I took a chance to order it and was pleasantly surprised that it IS “as pictured” (flat) and looks NEARLY IDENTICAL to the original 3 foot power cord. It fits the adapter perfectly. Although I have only had it 3 days (and 3 charges), it appears to work just as well as the original. I will highly recommend anyone looking for a 6 foot power cord.

My only complaint, which was a disappointment since Amazon has always been very prompt in shipping out items, is that I ordered this on the 10th and I had to contact Amazon for a tracking number. It wasn’t until the 16th that they finally got around to supply a Tracking Number which showed delivery for the 18th, which did arrive on the 18th. However, their “Fulfillment Center” for this item was in Phoenix which is just hours away and Amazon was unable to explain why it was taking several days to prepare for shipment.

Since I have only had this for 3 days and is working fine, if there are problems with its functionality down the road, I will definitely add a revision to this review. In the meantime, if anyone is looking to replace the power cord and needs a Mickey Mouse end and flat, this 125w is for you.

Extra Length is a HUGE BONUS

Bought this to replace the short power cable for my laptop charger that my dog thought was a chew toy. (Don't worry it was unplug) I cannot believe how convenient the extra length is. I can remember how many times I had to try and balance the power brick in strange places with the original cord and with the slightest movement have it drop. Now I can actually use my "lap"top in my lap. I am typing this review laying on the couch and the cord is plugged in with the brick laying safely on the floor next to me with plenty of wiggle room to adjust and not unplug the cable. I wish all computer companies just made these the standard with the money we spend on computers.

Faulty Merchandise.

Ordered this cord shortly after my other frayed to the point that it wouldn't transmit a charge. This cord worked like a charm... for about three weeks. Then all of a sudden it dies on me, naturally I suspect my old charger brick was the issue. However, upon purchasing an entirely new (and expensive ) charger from Dell I found that the issue was a faulty cord. I'm incredibly dissatisfied that there isn't even an option to return this defective merchandise. Do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere for your replacement cord needs.

This cord shocked me and caught fire and fell apart. Don't buy this POS.

This cord started coming apart in less than a month. I take very good care of my electronics-- I meticulously and carefully handle and store the cords and none of my cords EVER break or have issues. The wires at the wall port and the wires at the battery port were exposed within a month via the cord separating from the heads of the chords. Just a couple weeks later and the cord started to unravel, exposing wire underneath. There were no fractures at all, but when I plugged it in just a minute ago, it shocked me and caught fire and started smoking. I will never EVER buy this product or any other product from this company again. Save your money and safety by just buying a high quality charger that will not fall apart or catch fire.
