No problem hooking the cable up to my HP laptop. Works like a charm. The direct port takes a bit of effort to disconnect from the laptop. Hope it doesn't break.

Did not work. Would not recognize monitor, different cable worked but cost way more. Cheap cable wasn't worth the hassle of trying to get one that isn't defective. Luck of the draw type of thing and time was an issue for me.

I had to return this cable. In the description on Amazon, it did not make it clear that it was only Display Port to HDMI. I needed a cable that was HDMI to Display Port; that is taking my laptop HDMI output to a monitor that had a Display Port input.

The DisplayPort to HDMI conversion cable works just fine. The output on a 1080P computer monitor is spectacular.

I used this cable to connect my TV to my desktop PC as a second monitor. The image shows up on the TV, but the sound only plays through the original monitor. The displayport is not a listed option in my playback devices. I have updated the drivers on my graphics card to no avail, so I will be conducting further investigation into the matter. The cable itself works well, was packaged nicely, and arrived promptly. I have no complaints about the product itself.

Just as described, you plug the Display port into your PC or laptop and the HDMI end into your monitor. No special drivers needed, just plug it in and go.

Ordered the cable with same day shipping. Arrived within 8 hours. The cable itself is sturdy and the connectors are well made. The connectors are very long so plan with this in mind. Can't ask for a better cable in this price range. DP 1.2 will work for most HDMI television and monitor applications, but keep in mind the physical limitations of DP1.2 when buying.
