Format: Paperback
Cadaver is unlike any graphic novel you will ever read. It's creative, thoughtful, sad, love, life, and loss all rolled into an oddly cute story of one young med students horrifying event upon cutting open a cadaver. Not just any cadaver though. This one awakens upon his heart being taken from his chest. Upon waking, he demands the return of his heart and a trip to Tennessee to see his beloved who must be so sad and lonely without him. Upon finding her legs wrapped tightly around another geezers saddle, the cadaver feels betrayed and at a loss. That is until he returns back to the cold lonely table at the med school where the least expected happens.
"The cadaver has come back to life"
Author Jonah Ansell does a kick ass job with this graphic novel. Nailing the perfect color scheme and his perfected shading truly breathes a life of its own into this story. Ansell gives readers a poetic love story, not only through words, but through art as page after page unfolds a deeper emotional burden for both the med student and the old cadaver as they work through their emotions and feelings. Even if you have seen the movie, you still have to pick up a copy of this book. It is the perfect addition to any personal library.

Great little story and the interactiveness is also fun. Fantastic song selections and superb renditions of those selections. This will be a nice little gem in both my TPB and PSB collection.
