For the golf cart purchase decision my consideration came down to just these two: CaddyTek CaddyLite and Clicgear 3.0 Push Golf Cart. Ultimately I decided to go with CaddyTek primarily because I could get TWO of these for the price of a single Clicgear 3.0. It's truly a bargain! The golf cart was delivered faster than I had anticipated, too, and it's a beauty to behold (silver model). Here are some observations upon close inspection:

PROS:

- Light weight but solid built
- Folds compact and easily with just one button press
- Umbrella holder
- No more inflating (and deflating) wheels!!
- Bargain price compared to many other models with similar built and features
- Fast delivery

CONS:

- Just one small beverage holder
- No mesh bag to hold extra stuff like towel, rain/wind jacket, extra beverage, etc. (I'll have to DIY)
- "No Maintenance" wheels are wide (like other comparable models), so pushing would be harder on roughs

SOME VULNERABLE PARTS TO BE AWARE (like other comparable models, though, to be fair):

- "No Maintenance" wheels are made of plastic and therefore more prone to wear and tear, especially walking on concrete path and parking lot, etc.
- Brake is also plastic and only time will tell how long it'd last
- Small storage compartment for scorecard, pencil, etc. is also plastic and therefore easily breakable
- The part that joins the front wheel to the main frame is an aluminum rod encased all around with plastic, and this particular part is what I'll have to be concerned with more than anything else since it's also the pressure point from all of my golf bag's weight being placed on it. As long as I don't throw my bag onto it like a sack of rice, I think I'll be just fine.

My husband had thought about getting a push cart and so this year I researched the options and chose this one. He could not be more thrilled. He says there's no tendency for the CaddyTek to vere off in one direction or the other, so he has not needed the allen tool that's provided to make adjustments. And now, not having to carry his bag or use the golf carts as the alternative, he's able to walk the 18 holes without discomfort and really enjoy his game. This product is unbelievably easy to use and the lack of hassle-factor in its operation makes his golf outings all the more recreational for him. The price was just right; the delivery was fast; and when you consider I knew nothing about these devices before starting my research, I am personally delighted that the one I chose has worked out so well!

I had my wife get me this cart for christmas after doing extensive research. After a couple rounds already this spring it has performed to my expectations. The breaking system took me a bit to get the hang of. The first hill i let it coast down solo it stayed strait, and true. It has alot of the same features, and durability of carts twice its price. I would recommend this to anyone looking for quality at a reasonable price. I would imagine this company will start charging more in the future for thier products as sun mountain, click cart, and bag boy have.

I bought this over a year ago and have used it regularly in the late spring and summer months. I play extremely hilly course, and this cart has held up under some tough terrains.

It takes me 1 minute to setup and less that that to fold up. The cart fold up and takes less than a third of my trunk space. What I really like about this product is that it's designed to carry stand bags.

In the past I've used a cheap $40 pull cart and my bags would always slide side-ways and fall off the peg. This Caddytek cart has two slots that traps the legs from the stand bags, thus minimizing roll. Also the straps holds the bag nicely. I've rarely experienced shifting of my bag except on a few occasions when the terrain was bumpy. However, in those instances it never shifted enough to bother me or cause my bag to slip off.

Recently the tension cable that prevents the wheels from butterlying, and the wheels from extending too far broke off and I emailed the company. They got back to me within two days and will be shipping me a replacement cable without questions asked. I've played around with other leading brands at retail stores and this is by far better designed and just as durable.

I got this cart for my 13 year old son after researching sun mountain, bag boy and clicgear. They all were similar in the materials used but the caddytek was the easiest to open and close for a 13 year old. The clicgear had too many pinch points and was counter intuitive in opening and closing. See for yourself on YouTube. My fears were pinched and bleeding fingers and a bent frame from forcing it closed in frustration after a day on the course. I'm not always with him when he golfs so he needed a cart he could open and close on his own. We're very happy with this cart. The price was also reasonable for the quality of the cart. It should last for years.
