All these recipes are excellent - and with the guidance of our Rethink Retreats nutritionist, Chris Sandel, they're all super healthy too.
But my personal favourite? That's got to be the beetroot brownie! It's a very forgiving recipe and it always goes down well with the crowd.
I was sceptical at first since I am not a baker at all.. but these recipes are easy to follow and best of all they are delicious. I won't be heading to Whole Foods to buy a pastry when visiting friends but will spend a little time to make something myself. I like how easy the instructions are and how original the recipes are too. I think most people are careful about what they eat. I can easily tell my friends what I have used to make these cakes and feel confident that nothing artificial has been included. Great work Ms Scully, this deserves praise and seconds!
This is a fantastic recipe book to add to your collection.
The recipes are all geared towards making healthy choices when it comes to indulging yourself. But, Rethink Retreats have factored in real life - and that sometimes you just want a slice of cake, without mucking about at specialty shops. Brilliant.
I especially love the Chateau Durantie and the Vegan Chocolate Cupcakes, but each recipe is scrummy in its own way.
I never realized before that there are so many amazing cakes out there that are super healthy and easy to make. I love this book because it explains a lot of things in a real world kind of way. Everything from great descriptions of different types of flour, and why to use medium instead of large eggs. You will love all the recipes here, and the clear instructions.
At last, guilt free and delicious cakes that are still possible to fit in around a busy life. The recommendations for healthier ingredients are great and I would never have thought of using medium rather than large eggs to be kinder to chickens until I read this. I've bought my last large egg!
I love this book! so many great recipes, easy to bake cakes without the guilt of eating too much junk or too many calories. If you want to bake and are interested in using alternative ingredients to keep sugar and fat content low, this is your book. I'd say more but it's not polite to speak with my mouth full!
Here is a little recipe book with mouth watering images, and yummi cakes that I would love to make, but my choice is to be vegan and I do not react well to cocoa. If you do not have these buts, go and make these cakes! And share them with people, I know they will love you for it :)
