I use a pastry blender often when I mix food and our 25 year old one lost one of the blades. I bought this as a replacement and purposely looked for one that looked sturdy enough to withstand a firmer mixture when blending. This is it!! I put it to the test and it performed magnificently, sparing
my aging wrists from pressure when mixing firm cookie dough. I make baked items from scratch weekly, but this is great for any kind of mixing where you want the mix to be as homogeneous as possible. I love mine.

It is a very sturdy blender but it is too large to fit several of my bowls and the sides are not curved which causes me to have to pull the flour and shortening together down in the center of the bowl to cut in the shortening.

Despite being branded with a silly show, this is a serious pastry cutter. I'm not into cheap in the kitchen, and this fits into my kitchen well. Even butter that hasn't been out of the fridge more than 30 minutes isn't a problem. The curve on the blades fits well in bowls. Although large, it's maneuverable enough to work even in medium size bowls. Even though I don't ever see mine needing to be replaced, I wouldn't hesitate to reorder if I had a friend that needed one.

This pastry cutter is sturdy! I had to replace my old one because it was getting too bent to use. However, this is really wide and you need a large, wide, flat bowl when using it. After figuring that out, I am very happy with the product!

like other reviews state, this is much bulkier than most pastry cutters which is fine if your bowl is bigger.
Pro: It seems to be quite sturdy, not too easily bent. Con: HANDWASH ONLY, NOT DISHWASHER SAFE because of the wooden handle I suppose.

I am not to sure of this cake cutter. I'm by no means a pro, but when i make scones i used to cut it into as small of a cube as possible and use my hands to finish the job. I think i made an error in not knowing how to use this pastry cutter but when i used this instead of my hands, it can't effectively cut the small cubes of butter i cut into the dough effectively. They just slipped through the gaps. I may need to just use a whole frozen stuck of butter next time and see how it goes, but overall it didn't work as efficiently to cut in cubed butter for scones.

this blender's handle spins around which renders it unuseable. it's been in a drawer unused for the past 8 months and today, when i used it for the very first time to make blueberry crumb bars, the wooden handle immediately began rotating at random. i wish i had used it right away because it's way past the time to return it. i am going back to the all stainless steel, one piece blender i used before i bought this. save your money!

I bought this to replace my old wire type pastry blender that I have had for 40+ years and I suppose AI should have replaced it log ago. But this blender is vastly superior and makes short work of cutting butter into the flour. The handle is fairly large but it iis far less tiring to use. The metal blades seem to be heavy gauge and should last for years.
