"There's a lot of studs, corsets, fishnet, wild hair and eye makeup ... worthy of any coffee table ... 172 great photos of surprisingly colorful people into dark music" -Jay Moyes, Fetish Artist Mag
"This isn't your average coffee table book! You'll think of these images for days after seeing them. Corsets, eye makeup, studs, and spiked collars ... Whether nabbing a copy for yourself or your dentist to put in his waiting room, this is a rock fashion page-turner you don't want to miss." -Skin & Ink Magazine
"The art photo book, California Deathrock ... featuring a wide variety of gloriously spooky subculture characters in the West Coast deathrock scene ... paints every portrait beautifully and respectfully." -Siara Gray, Inkspired Magazine

Plus, from a photographer's standpoint, I am appreciative of the inclusion of a discussion on the choices of camera, lighting and film made for this project. I always love to hear about the "process," and Amelia and Forrest make a great case for the technical decisions that have resulted in such rich, stunning portraits.
This book will certainly remain proudly displayed on my coffee table and I would recommend it to anyone!
