Product Description
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Developed by Sledgehammer Games (co-developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3), harnesses the first three-year, all next-gen development cycle in franchise history.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Envisions the powerful battlegrounds of the future, where both technology and tactic have evolved to usher in a new era of combat for the franchise. Delivering a stunning performance, Academy Award winning actor Kevin Spacey stars as Jonathan Irons – one of the most powerful men in the world – shaping this chilling vision of the future of war.
Power Changes Everything.
An Advanced World:
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare takes place in a plausible future in which technological progress and today’s military practices have converged with powerful consequences. In this carefully researched and crafted vision of the future, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for countless nations outsourcing their military needs, redrawing borders and rewriting the rules of war. And Jonathan Irons, the founder and president of the world’s largest PMC - Atlas Corporation - is at the center of it all.
An Advanced Soldier:
Powerful exoskeletons evolve every aspect of a soldier’s battle readiness, enabling combatants to deploy with an advanced lethality and eliminating the need for specialization. The introduction of this gameplay mechanic delivers enhanced player movement and verticality through boost jumps and grappling, covert cloaking abilities, and biomechanics that provide unparalleled strength, awareness, endurance, and speed. With the advent of the exoskeleton and newly advanced armor and weaponry, every soldier commands tactical freedom in any terrain unlike ever before, fundamentally changing the way gamers play Call of Duty across all modes.
An Advanced Arsenal:
Harnessing the power of next-gen platforms, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare brings players into the battlegrounds of the future by boasting a new hi-tech, advanced arsenal and ability set, arming players with all-new equipment, technology, perks, and vehicles like hoverbikes and highly specialized drones. Players can also choose between standard ammunition and an all-new class of directed-energy weaponry that enables totally new gameplay dynamics. And with exoskeletons delivering a massive force multiplier and unprecedented tactical freedom, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare evolves every firefight.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2014Amazons service was wonderful, as always. The game was delivered early, on the date it was scheduled and to my delight came with everything neatly tucked in a box. Thanks Amazon! As for the game, it's a pretty fun game with great detail, but it does gets a little repetitive, as most cod shooters do.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2014Platform: PCEdition: StandardVerified PurchaseUnbelievable, I have really given a chance this game, I have played almost a 100 hours, and I must say, it is a poor game. It had a potential to be a decent game, but it is not, it really disappointed me. The worst is the lag, it is so hard to enjoy playing it with such a bad lag. Also, there are no dedicated servers, what the ...
To be honest, I did not play the latest COD games due to poor reviews (I should wait with that one as well, if I would see those kind of bad reviews, I would never buy this game; next time I will wait for sure), but I think the best edition was cod 4, I have really enjoyed playing it a lot.
I was never a fan of Battlefield, but I definitely enjoy playing this game better than this version of COD. What happened to the real cod???
- Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2015Platform: PCEdition: StandardVerified PurchaseAs an avid gamer I was very excited to finally get my hands on this game. I got it on sale for ~$35 dollars. It is probably worth $20-30. I wouldn't pay more than that. Kevin Spacey is great. The single player is fun. The multiplayer is slow; it takes too long to set up a game and it doesn't seem as fun or as crisp as the single player. Character customization options do seem neat though.
Sometimes the single player has weird flaws. For example, people often don't react realistically to you pointing a gun in their face. Some background cars don't look very good. Sometimes the game doesn't let you do what you want to do, for example it may force you to stay in a target area rather than flanking the enemy. That said the levels were varied and pretty fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2017Platform: PCEdition: StandardVerified PurchaseI played only the campaign, which really enjoyed. After reading the feedback from others, who purchased this item for PC. I too, have experienced the game crashing during gameplay. As far as the gameplay itself, I found it entertaining and enjoyable. The cut scenes could have been shorter, but Kevin Spacey made it worth watching. I just wish it was a option to skip the cut scenes. As with all games, it is up to you, to decide if it is worth purchasing.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2015Platform: PCEdition: StandardVerified PurchaseI haven't even played the game and it's already pissing me off. Why buy a four disc game to load when it reads the first one, activates Steam and then states it's downloading the game for the next 20 or so hours, like 43Gb! I will never buy another Activision, or for that matter Steam game again. If I knew where they were and it was close I'd take a little FPS action to their location. Looks like Battlefield and 2K games are the ones I will be playing.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2015Platform: PCEdition: StandardVerified PurchasePeople might have hated the game because they might have not checked the minimum system requirements, like me I tried it on my pc and it didn't work it kept crashing because I didn't have enough ram, I tried it on another pc which has even better then the minimum system requirements and it worked well, I really enjoyed the game , but be sure to have a good pc
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2014Platform: PCEdition: StandardVerified PurchaseWarning! If you have not bought it, save your money!! Or you will be deeply regret like me, a 10-years FPS player. Have to say, this is the WORST COD ever by means of multiplayer. The solo campaign part is fine but not great. But the multiplayer part is a total disaster. The sledge hammer want to add something special to the old franchise which is good. However, WITHOUT dedicated sever play such a high-pace FPS in a p2p manner is horrible. The god of the game is not your skill, but your ping which is almost always "5-scale". If you happenly joined a game with bad connection (remember you will almost always be matched to a "5-scale" p2p sever and it doesn't mean your connection is good), you will be torn apart, slaughtered, abused and irritated. Thanks to the high-pace gunning game, you stand no chance against players have better connection than you. If you were killed by someone suddenly "appeared" in front of you, remember to check the killcam and you will find that the guy has been standing right in front of you and shooting you for seconds. Don't forget the hackers. The game is really a heaven for them.
Although the game has better graphic but I personally think the game is worse than Ghost which is also a huge failure. The Ghost has much better multiplayer experience than this one. Unless Activation setup dedicated sever in the future, I would strongly encourage you guys stay away from the game, If you don't want to make yourself angry for a game. If activation won't fix the problem I swear this will be the last COD I ever buy.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2014Awesome game, I love it, one of the best of the series.
In order to see it as it was intended, you'll need some pretty serious hardware.
My GTX 970 SLI works just great!
