Product Description

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Developed by Sledgehammer Games (co-developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3), harnesses the first three-year, all next-gen development cycle in franchise history.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Envisions the powerful battlegrounds of the future, where both technology and tactic have evolved to usher in a new era of combat for the franchise. Delivering a stunning performance, Academy Award winning actor Kevin Spacey stars as Jonathan Irons – one of the most powerful men in the world – shaping this chilling vision of the future of war.

Power Changes Everything.

An Advanced World:

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare takes place in a plausible future in which technological progress and today’s military practices have converged with powerful consequences. In this carefully researched and crafted vision of the future, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for countless nations outsourcing their military needs, redrawing borders and rewriting the rules of war. And Jonathan Irons, the founder and president of the world’s largest PMC - Atlas Corporation - is at the center of it all.

An Advanced Soldier:

Powerful exoskeletons evolve every aspect of a soldier’s battle readiness, enabling combatants to deploy with an advanced lethality and eliminating the need for specialization. The introduction of this gameplay mechanic delivers enhanced player movement and verticality through boost jumps and grappling, covert cloaking abilities, and biomechanics that provide unparalleled strength, awareness, endurance, and speed. With the advent of the exoskeleton and newly advanced armor and weaponry, every soldier commands tactical freedom in any terrain unlike ever before, fundamentally changing the way gamers play Call of Duty across all modes.

An Advanced Arsenal:

Harnessing the power of next-gen platforms, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare brings players into the battlegrounds of the future by boasting a new hi-tech, advanced arsenal and ability set, arming players with all-new equipment, technology, perks, and vehicles like hoverbikes and highly specialized drones. Players can also choose between standard ammunition and an all-new class of directed-energy weaponry that enables totally new gameplay dynamics. And with exoskeletons delivering a massive force multiplier and unprecedented tactical freedom, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare evolves every firefight.

**Update** As most people are checking out the standard edition I have moved my review there and I have provided updates. Please feel free to check that at to get my most recent thoughts.

Hi guys,

I'm here to give you a review, you can see my older review on Cod Ghost under the name Vaz S.

So another year and another Call of Duty game out. The key question is has the PC version improved? The answer is yes, by quite a substantial amount. The key question then becomes around gameplay but let me focus on the technical aspects first.

- Substantially improved graphics options (there is 20+ options to pick from). There is a FOV slider to assist people that get simulation sickness which will allow you to increase your FOV to 90. However this is capped in the single player campaign to around 70, therefore some people may only be able to play the campaign in short burst.

- The graphics fidelity is good but not what I would call 'top class', however it is a marked improvement over Ghost. The texture quality is decent, I have not encountered any screen tearing. If you look closely the game appears slightly glossy this is help to graphics appear of a higher quality. Keep in mind in the multiplayer campaign, frame rate is limited to 91 frames per second. Therefore people with high refresh monitors may have a substandard experience. A key tip is to turn off shadow caching etc and limit super sampling as this appears very resource intensive. This game appears to require a substantial amount of V-Ram to play at higher resolutions, so older cards may suffer. I have tested this game out on a Gtx 780 and I still cannot crank settings up to maximum, in fact I have to had to reduce some options to low or normal.

I bought this game through BestBuy purely because I could pick it up on the same day. My favorite part about this game and the entire franchise, and the reason that I purchase these games altogether, is the campaign mode - i.e. - single player mode. I've played this for three hours already (after a 45 minute install) and am amazed by how detailed the plot is, how beautiful designed: 1. the characters are. 2. the weapons are. 3. the drones 4. houses and containments, and 5. the environment of course. Overall, this is a really fun game to play and you simply want to finish the campaign mode from when you begin playing it. Also, the new method of upgrading your character is a great improvement. It reminds me of Crysis 3 and how you could make improvements to the exoskeleton. Don't listen to all the haters, most have no real premise for complaining. This game is really fun and beautifully designed. Although it's costly, Cod: Advanced WareFare Day Zero is worth the cost since it only comes out once a year and delivers an outstanding gaming experience (always improving). In my opinion, this is a very worthwhile purchase if you're looking for an engaging, beautifully designed, first person shooter that takes full advantage of your computer's specifications. That's actually the last note I will make - this game requires a powerful PC to really demonstrate to the user the extent of the developer's hard work. I love games that make my power PC work it's ass to produce a seamless experience.

When you see one star, you might think that I would not like this game; however, I actually really like to play this game. I have completed the campaign and thought it was fun, but I mainly play games for the online multiplayer experience. I recently transitioned over to PC gaming instead of console gaming, because I wanted a new experience. I don't play many games, but mainly play first-person-shooters such as Titanfall and Planetside 2. I have owned every call of duty for consoles, and have always enjoyed the online multiplayer experience, yet, with the PC version, there seems to be too many issues.

The major reason why this game received a 1/5 stars is because I like to play a lot of different gametypes, not just TDM. Whenever I go into matchmaking, maybe I want to play Kill confirmed, or infected, or search and destroy, yet EVERY time I do this, I get a result of, "No Games Found".

There has been no updates at all to resolve this. I have tried reinstalling, deleting everything, and even tried a fresh install by download, yet nothing has changed. I have made modifications with ping settings and whatnot in the config file, yet still, Nothing has changed. It seems like the only available game mode is TDM, which gets a little boring after a while. It would be nice if the manufacturer would acknowledge their fault, as I have seen others with the same issue, and come on, I highly doubt there isn't anyone else playing these game modes.

Excellent graphics and story line and gameplay is very good. As opposed to most people I only cared about the single player and havent tried multi. Some of the CODs in the past have made me annoyed by SO MANY ridiculous twists and turns and this one isn't all about that (welllll for the most part! You'll see). I pretty much only play FPS games and I felt this very adequate to feed my appetite. Great FPS. Fun weapons, fun story. Suspenseful.

Reading reviews I thought Kevin Spacey only voice acts in this one... but no they actually put him in video game form too as an actor which was funny and cool.
