Editorial Reviews

Review

"Second Platoon was indeed 'blessed' to have Buck Compton as our leader. He was a quiet and strong officer who, above all, listened and talked to all men under his command. I could never say enough to express my thanks and admiration for Buck Compton."
-William "Wild Bill" Guarnere --This text refers to the audio_download edition.

About the Author

Lt. Lynn “Buck” Compton is a World War II veteran who commanded the second platoon of Easy Company in the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, part of the 101st Airborne Division. His service earned him the Silver Star, the Purple Heart, and the World War II Victory medal among other citations. Marcus Brotherton is a professional writer, the author or co-author of 18 books including biographies and directive non-fiction. Readers know Marcus delivers books about the issues that matter most. Editors and authors throughout the book industry know Marcus as the writer to turn to for solid collaborations. His speciality is helping people with strong public platforms develop and write their books. Marcus understands people and writing. The son of a minister father and a journalist mother, he studied both disciplines in university and graduate school. He brings the rare combination of having worked both as a pastor for eight years and as a newspaper reporter for five before he turned to writing books full time. Born in 1968, Marcus earned a bachelor’s degree in Bible and journalism from Multnomah University, and a master’s degree in theology and writing from Talbot Seminary at Biola University. He lives with his wife and children in Washington State. --This text refers to the preloaded_digital_audio_player edition.
