When a Mexican drug cartel bombs a U.S. law enforcement agency, the U.S. government puts together a special task force to bring them down. Play as Ben McCall, a brutal LAPD cop and descendent of Ray McCall, or Eddie Guerra, a DEA agent with a chronic-gambling habit, or gang-affiliated street kid turned FBI agent, Kim Evans. Each character has their own unique story. As you fight to dismantle the Cartel and unfurl the mystery of the bombing, you'll embark on an epic, bloody road trip from the streets of Los Angeles to Ciudad Juarez. Experience the lawlessness of today's Wild West as you hunt down the Cartel in a world where the ends justify the means.

From the Manufacturer

Call of Juarez: The Cartel is the third installment of the Western action shooter video game franchise, Call of Juarez. Call of Juarez: The Cartel includes the same attributes of a great Western shooter, upgraded to reflect modern times. For instance, instead of outlaws and brothels, you'll find cartel kingpins and strip clubs. But make no mistake, the spirit of the Wild West is still very much alive. You'll experience the lawlessness of the old country as you fight to take down a powerful drug cartel in a world where every man is out for himself.

You won't believe the price I paid for this at Amazon - a huge saving comparing to what I've to pay in Singapore. On top of the low price, the game is simply excellent - good graphics with good gameplay. This is a worthy add-on to the Call of Juarez series.

Don't waste your money on this awful badly-produced game. I just don't have the stomach or patience to waste time on an unplayable game. I tried every technical adjustment to drive the silly cars in this game and they're impossible on a PC. You can't move forward in the game without getting past a race driving sequence with controls that just leave you exasperated. I was so frustrated at the unplayability, I called Ubisoft for help. They were useless. The phone operator said that was just the game. I've played a lot of first person shooter games and that is bull. It 's just poorly designed and a waste of time.

Once again a franchise uses the name of a good or great game and puts out a unworthy product. I very much enjoyed the Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. In it you can change weapons often to play the game on your terms and you have some discression on how to play each mission and in what order. This is just another very much controlled story line with the run or drive here and shoot them, now run here and shoot these guys. No imagination or real challenge. There seems to be a movement towards easier programing for the makers. I can not figure why else they would be doing this. If your are like me and like to make your own choices in weapons, tactics and have the ability to wander off the marked trail and do other things like blow up tanks or bridges you do not want this game. If you like the newer trends of "run here shoot that" then you would like this, the graphics are fine the sound is good.

The Medal of Honor series did this with their last game as did Call of Duty, two franchises that I liked very much until their latest releases. I sure hope they do not do this with the upcoming Far Cry 3. Far Cry 2 was great with the degree of freedom that the player has. If you like freedom in your game play I also suggest you take a peek at The Saboteur, MOH Airborne, Mafia 2, Call of Juarea: Bound in Blood and Far Cry 2.

Basically, this is not much above an Arcade Game.

Ok i loved Bound in Blood so much that even despite the poorer reviews i bought this game. THe worst part are the car chases, there is no doubt about that. They are too hard and boring really. The selection of guns is great though, and some in game features are good. The storyline is blah, Bound in Blood dragged you along and this is like a NCIS episode of the most borning plots. The gun fights are good, tougher than the previous ones. You have alot more to think about when choosing firearms. The game play is a tad glitchy, but adds a gritty feel (the HUD sucks). I dont really need a storyline for a shoot'em up. The next game in the series needs to either be a prequel to bound in blood (I.E. Civil War) or return to the old west. That is how the game really stuck out. This game feels wooden, like Enter the Matrix was, but even with all of this it was fun to play. Buy it if you can get it cheap! Do not pay full retail (thats why i am not upset).
