Once again a franchise uses the name of a good or great game and puts out a unworthy product. I very much enjoyed the Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. In it you can change weapons often to play the game on your terms and you have some discression on how to play each mission and in what order. This is just another very much controlled story line with the run or drive here and shoot them, now run here and shoot these guys. No imagination or real challenge. There seems to be a movement towards easier programing for the makers. I can not figure why else they would be doing this. If your are like me and like to make your own choices in weapons, tactics and have the ability to wander off the marked trail and do other things like blow up tanks or bridges you do not want this game. If you like the newer trends of "run here shoot that" then you would like this, the graphics are fine the sound is good.

The Medal of Honor series did this with their last game as did Call of Duty, two franchises that I liked very much until their latest releases. I sure hope they do not do this with the upcoming Far Cry 3. Far Cry 2 was great with the degree of freedom that the player has. If you like freedom in your game play I also suggest you take a peek at The Saboteur, MOH Airborne, Mafia 2, Call of Juarea: Bound in Blood and Far Cry 2.

Basically, this is not much above an Arcade Game.

Ok i loved Bound in Blood so much that even despite the poorer reviews i bought this game. THe worst part are the car chases, there is no doubt about that. They are too hard and boring really. The selection of guns is great though, and some in game features are good. The storyline is blah, Bound in Blood dragged you along and this is like a NCIS episode of the most borning plots. The gun fights are good, tougher than the previous ones. You have alot more to think about when choosing firearms. The game play is a tad glitchy, but adds a gritty feel (the HUD sucks). I dont really need a storyline for a shoot'em up. The next game in the series needs to either be a prequel to bound in blood (I.E. Civil War) or return to the old west. That is how the game really stuck out. This game feels wooden, like Enter the Matrix was, but even with all of this it was fun to play. Buy it if you can get it cheap! Do not pay full retail (thats why i am not upset).

So far off from the original. It is suppose to be a modern version of Call Of Juarez, I get that. Be warned though that the graphics look like something from 2005 or the original Xbox. The developer couldn't even spell correctly on the cut scenes. There are several things misspelled. All and all, it looks like this game was a "rush" job and little or no time was spent on it at all.

WOW!!! I didn't listen to the reviews of this game and bought it anyway, now i wish i didn't. the other games in the series were great, but this new one they have is well sorry garbage with a capitol G. the story line sucks and is nothing like the last two which were great, to me the graphics were not as good, and the game play really really stunk, after an hour of play and hoping it get better i finally said enough and uninstalled it and went back to playing Juarez bound in blood to get me over the shock of such a terrible game. save your money and hopfully they will redo this and do it the right way this time, maybe fire the team and get someone that knows what there doing.

I had never played any of the "call of Juarez" series, and bought them all in one day. I have been gaming since DOS ( yep, I am an OLD gamer ) and frankly did not expect this game, old by today's standards, to have such a fun value, and to have such great graphics.

Not to crazy about the dialog, kinda repetitive, but still very exciting to play.

Story is completely broken from the earlier games. Voiceacting is very low budget sounding. The earlier games were amazing and I am a huge fan. This just broke the series. Gunslinger looks like it fixed it, I have yet to finish it though. If you plan on playing the series, just skip this game.

the game is a lot of fun. just wished I would have known it was through steam. I haven't been able to play the game since last Sunday (9-22-2012). not sure why. I hit the play button and nothing happens. half hour later still nothing. if anyone is interested in this game. make sure you get the DVD rom version. NOT the online version

Great first person shooter! I usually never read the instructions and didn't need to here. It is great entertainment for just over $10. If you liked the previous western set Juarez games, you'll like this modern version too. Of some concern was all the swearing. If I had a kid, he wouldn't be playing this game. The game played smoothly with no crashes.
