But now I decided that I will do it every other day (and a short aerobics video days I don't do Callanetics if I have time) and see what results I can get at 10 hours (where it says you will look ten years younger) and 19 hours (like the example of her student Jean who looked better in 19 hours). If I don't miss any days November 15 will be when my 19th hour will be finished, I will update my review then.
I have been having some trouble trying to use the stuff in my dorm room, like I use my bed for hips and behind cause it is high, but not a hard surface like a bar, and my chair is not very sturdy for the leg stuff, but I feel as if I keep trying I can figure out a way to make it work. I have been having a hard time relaxing, and feel when I do I can get more from the exercises. But I do feel it very much, the ripple in the stomach is like nothing I have ever felt before.
For those of you who had flabby legs, not big, I mean JIGGLAY and FLABAY did they improve with Callanetics or did you diet and do lots of aerobics as well?
Overall I would suggest giving it a try =)
So Happy to find this again. Used it years ago - in a word: RESULTS!
In a sentence - using this video years ago gave me a sense of being in my body comfortably profoundly - for what I remember as the first time.
More: This was made before the word "core" was used much (as far as I know) - the experience of finding my core through this workout was very freeing.
All my parts were communicating and working as a unit. My pelvis knew where it belonged - creating comfort and eliminating a subtle sense of searching for comfort & balance.
Happy to get back to a great workout. I will start slowly! as I did years ago, doing only a few of each for the first few days - not pushing through discomfort - I found my body craved more & worked up quickly to the recommended reps.
I also had the morning/evening Callanetics video - however I like this one much more!
Now to find a bar!
Update: Bought a used Fluidity Bar so that might work in conjunction with Callenetics, however I live in a tiny space, that leads to resistance to getting out a piece of equipment. Using a chair has always been my best bet.
I am the owner of a web development firm in Florida, WorldWebCommunication.com and never get a chance to do any exercises as I am too busy keeping clients happy. My health was going down and my back was killing me. The last time I did this exercise I dropped 4 inches from my waist and never worked up a sweat. I did not diet but used the tape daily for 6 weeks. At the time I worked at Nissan on the assembly line. Everyone kept saying have you lost weight you look different. I set up a group of us to work out everyday and EVERYONE lost inches. These exercises will open your eyes up to a new way of looking at your own body.
I am now in my 50's and am excited to get back to using this tape ( after I buy yet another one since I did not get back the one I loaned out - you know who you are). Thank you Margaret Pinckney.
There are some exercises on this tape that will DEFINITELY help you gain strength in your legs. I also believe that this will help you improve your flexibility because of all of the stretching exercises included in this.
I do recommend keeping your vcr remote close by so that you can fast forward through several descriptions and pictures after you understand how to complete the exercise. But if you are looking for a strengthening and stretching tape to add to your exercise regimen I recommend Callanetics.

‘tinker bell’ movements , you won’t need to use any prompts. So it doesn’t matter that the original is old or funny. You’ll be able to do them with tv radio or whatever on & the results are so amazing in every way, it will inspire you, like me, to carry on. As I’ve said I’m doing this because if fed up with back neck hip & shoulder pains & the older I get the tighter everything feels. Yet 3 times now, I’ve done this & not managed all repetitions I may add. Not even close in fact Yet I can honestly say, I feel an improvement all over💪 Great right.💪For me that’s is enough to make me carry on 😊 if ur young u will get the greatest figure if u do the exercises correctly. I did. But for me right now… here’s to the easing of my pain & feeling strong again 🤞

I remember I had this book for the first from the library and it was hard cover with great photos.
This is a really bad reprint and it put me off looking at it or following the exercises.
I would not recommend it. Maybe hardcover is in a better print.

The exercises are tough but worth it, and the descriptions and pictures are really helpful.
