From the Manufacturer
Let's get right to it, Chrome Soft is our softest urethane golf ball. If you want exceptionally soft feel, excellent short game control, with long distance and low spin off the tee too, than this is your golf ball. From the cover to the core, the durable design feels amazing off the clubface and helps give you the control to hit great shots around the green. It also helps create the lowest spin off the driver, so your tee shots go even longer.

I was playing at a tournament in Arizona and the Callaway representative was there, I have a new set of Callaway Big Bertha clubs and asked him about the two balls. He said for slower swing speeds under 80 mph to use the Supersoft because of the low compression of 35, while the Chrome Soft is 65 The Chrome is a three piece ball with a tour urethane cover that is better for feel and distance for around $38.00, much less that the Titleist Pro V1 or x at a cost of $43.00 to $48.00. While the Supersoft is a 2 piece trionomer blend cover for $22.00.
I like the feel of the Supersoft and the Chrome and both feel really good when putting. I am getting about 180 yards with the Supersoft, and will have to compare this with the Chrome. I will update which one I have decided on but for $22.00 a box I am leaning to the Supersoft. I have also tried the Bridgestone E6 and like the Supersoft much better.
You don't lose any distance with any club with the softness of this ball, in fact you'll probably gain 2-3yards with your irons and 10 with your driver.
Great responsiveness around the green. I normally play with a Srixon Q-star for price reasons and when I tried this ball I had to take into account that the ball was routinely checking up 50% more than the Q-star on all chip shots, even out of the rough.
If you are looking for a premium ball with great feel, distance, responsiveness and dont want to pay $55 for a dozen, this is it!
I won't write a review on the Callaway Chrome Soft as it is the same ball that has been reviewed by many others.
