I am 6'1" typical drive 275-285yrd. Played Hex black and ProV1x. Lost many drives to the left and the right. With Chrome Soft I have not lost any hang time with the driver and have gained additional roll as this ball is low spin off driver. Most importantly i'm hitting straighter drives.

With my wedges and chipping i'm digging the feel off this ball. Checks and spin back are occurring more frequently with my mid to high irons. Frequently stopping dead with spin back when using the wedges. Great ball characteristics for less money. I'm sold on this ball. My Index is 14.3 and trending down this year.... only change i've made is the ball.

Im going to start off with im not good at all i shoot between 95-102. Im still learning. Have used super soft and hex black most recently. I have tried many different brands and models including prov1 and e5 trying to find something I'm comfortable with. Bought these balls 6 months ago. After 13 rounds of golf I absolutely love it. The astounding thing is that after 13 rounds i still have balls left from this pack.The most noticeable difference is around the green. On approach these balls land and stick on the green. I get a massive back spin with my 60° mack daddy 2 which I've had to get used to.

I was very happy with these balls. I have seen some recent reviews suggesting Callaway has a prblem centering the cores but I didn't notice any strange flights with the pack I had. They have a very nice feel around the greens and the colour makes the balls easier to spot in the rough. I find them very good for blind tee shots where you can't see the landing spot so I always carry some even for rounds when I'm using a white ball.

Usual question.. How does it compare to a Pro V. Titleist have done a fantastic job of being the number 1 golf ball out there, truth is they have been resting on their laurels. This is a better ball (performance wise) no doubt. It's softer and spins more around the greens, distance wise it's slightly longer (this is backed up by launch data). It's also significantly cheaper which doesn't hurt.

Beware of the glare

Love the feel of the ball. The only thing that bothered me was that I noticed an increased glare in sunny conditions. Kinda made it hard to see the ball when stood over it. Maybe the colour is more reflective of light than a white ball? Would buy Chrome Soft again but probably in a different colour next time.
