For your convenience, Olivenation re-packaged this item from a larger size Callebaut milk chocolate couverture into this 2 lb bag. Therefore, the item does not arrive in the manufacturers original packaging. Due to the nature of this product, the chocolate may melt during shipping. This does not ruin the chocolate and it is perfectly fine. The Callebaut general-purpose chocolate is excellent for all your milk chocolate recipes. The Belgian callets are ideal in various applications and great in milk chocolate ganache. The callets save you time because you don't have to shave or break it into pieces. It is ready to use and the flavor is exceptional (It may melt down a little more than typical chips in baking). Moderate-to-thick in viscosity, it can also be used for "medium" (rather than "thin") shell moulding and dipping, and will produce a slightly thicker shell. It has a darker colour, an intense cocoa taste, smooth with caramel flavours and creaminess. Product of Belgium Ingredients: 33.6% cocoa solids, 21.8% milk solids Occasionally there may be light-coloured streaks or film on the surface of the chocolate. This occurs naturally and is a characteristic of pure chocolate. It will disappear when the chocolate is re-melted.

This milk chocolate is made with the best ingredients. 6 ingredients. And they use all vanilla and cocoa butter and whole milk powder. Hershey uses vanillin...which is a wood extract..I have a bag that was given to me, and all I do is snack on it, letting it melt on my tongue to taste the almost orgasmic caramel flavor that stays with you for like ten minutes after eating it. Which ever chocolate you eat, let it melt on your tongue first instead of chomping on it. One, you eat less, and two, you appreciate it, and three, you can taste all the flavors.

I ordered this 33.6% milk chocolate, along with a pack of 53.8% dark, and 70.4% dark chocolate. This chocolate was NOT MILK CHOCOLATE! It was more like another package the 53.8%, with a milk chocolate label.

The chocolate did not come in an original Callebaut chocolate package. It was in a clear package with a small label on it that does not have nearly the same amount of information on it as a real Callebaut package would. Normally the Callebaut packages have information about the chocolate, as well as directions for storing and tempering. The package was however well sealed and the chocolate was of fine quality.

I didn't return it because i use a lot of chocolate, and still found use of it. However if you have ever worked with Callebaut milk chocolate you know this was much darker, and less creamy.

Simply the best milk chocolate I've ever cooked with. I know true "chocoholics" prefer dark chocolate, but I'm highly sensitive to bitter flavors, so I don't actually like the dark; these callets manage to provide exceptional chocolatey-ness without excessive sweetness. They're crisp to bite into but creamy as they melt on the tongue (not waxy like most milk chocolates). And the price is very reasonable. I can't keep them in the house.

Smooth is how I would describe this chocolate. Very chocolatey. It is nothing like the store-bought products. Therefore, I think my taste buds need to get used to what real milk chocolate tastes like. However, I won't have a problem continuing to try :) It has elevated the taste of all of my recipes that call for milk chocolate. Will never go back again.

I finally found it! I did some research before buying this. I was looking to coat Sponge candy, and I stumbled upon the definition of couverture chocolate. That is chocolate with a higher cocoa butter content.

Callebaut is the best tasting that I have EVER worked with. Granted, I only recent began candy making....

This chocolate though...when tempered correctly and after setting... has the thickest creamiest melt in your mouthiest smoothest most amazing texture and I've been searching for it for years. I'm so Happy!

Nothing and I mean NOTHING compares to fine milk chocolate when you are baking and molding. I received this packaged very well and without any defects or flaws such as blooming or broken chips. It is by far my go to chocolate as it melts into a silky creamy texture that is perfect for dipping, molds, and decorations. I will definitely buy more as my supply dwindles.

Chopping up Callebaut blocks was becoming laborious and messy. On the other hand, regular store bought chocolate chips are easy but really low end quality. Solution - these callets - easy to melt or use in any recipe where you'd use chocolate chips (or chop up the block), and far superior in flavor and texture.

A lot more money, but if you're baking or dipping, why cut corners on taste?
