This "sci-fi romance" is the first book I've read by Erica Conroy. I like books that include humor, which she does, but she also writes out key characters as the series progresses. Something that might have bothered me more if I had been more emotionally engaged. Fortunately I had read reviews for the later books, so was somewhat prepared. That does make the series more sci-fi adventure than romance in my mind, however. And while I enjoyed the series and finished it, I wasn't engaged enough to continue with the follow up serial.

This was a great read. Very well-written; it was funny, exciting, romantic (sometimes gushy romantic, sometimes snarky), but always substantive. I genuinely enjoyed every one of the 7 stories in Erica Conroy's Callisto bundle. The fact that there were this many really well-written stories, almost 500 pages worth, for just 99 cents, is nothing short of amazing. I have not read Ms. Conroy's books before, but I will certainly look for them in the future!

Engaging characters, adventure and romance in a sci-fi setting. This was a lot of fun to read! Good character and world-building. Be warned there are some sad stories after the HEAs for a few of the couples.

I bought this on my local amazon, but I figured it would be more helpfull to people if I also posted an English review on amazon.com. Because this is a totally awesome series. Part one is (or was) free if you want to try it out first (it's called Taken), but I liked it so much I bought the boxes set the moment I finished book one. Not because of cliff hangers or other ways the author could cheat, but because all of these books are great. The stories are very well written and the characters are complex, alien and human. The stories all focus on the space ship Callisto, but all single out a different set of heroes for the romance part in each book . But because they are set on the same ship, each story give s you more insight in all of the crew and you can keep an eye on the characters you loved. The romance is very well written, but I especially liked the adventure in this story. The overal story line is in each book is adventurous and exciting, keeping you on the edge of your seat. A nice series, with a satisfying ending for each book and for the series as well. If it ever comes out in paperback, I will definitely buy that as well, it's that good.

This is an entertaining collection of sci-fi action romances. They are in chronological order. The aliens and their culture are intriguing. Three different couples get their happily ever afters--with compromises. The intimate scenes are frank and realistic. The emotions are vivid and my heart ached for the characters, including side ones. At the end there is a teaser episode involving the second generation.
