Tammy Falkner – I ask again where have you been all my life? I am completely in love with this series and through this I have brought along two friends who now adore you as much as I do. The three of us are pretty obsessed with your books. You see, we are in a book blog and typically read what is asked of us – and while we ALL totally love the books we read, it’s Tammy who has brought the three of us together to read this series – a journey of love, hate, life, death and everything in between.
5 swoon worthy stars!
Pete made a stupid mistake at the end of Logan & Emily's story. He & his twin brother were trying to help the family, but they chose the really wrong way to do it. When they got caught, Pete sacrificed himself for his brother, and ended up going to jail. Before that happened, however, he met a girl, and while he was too late to save her completely, he did rescue her. He became her hero. And so she made it a point to (anonymously) help him when he got into trouble. Two years later, he's out & Reagan has arranged for him to help out at her family camp...
This story was so sweet, so beautiful... And wonderfully written. This series & Kris Proby's Seattle series house two of my all-time favorite family sagas. <3
This book starts out a bit on the abrasive and heartrending side. But with its very apt title, the story about Reagan and Pete takes us calmly and carefully through a road filled with hope, laughter and happiness leading to complete healing, acceptance and love.
I just can’t get enough of the Reed brothers. They all have different personalities, yet they’re all laid back, funny, perceptive and thoughtful. We get a bit of each in this third installment, but I’ll take Reagan’s words to describe Pete “I can’t help it if you’re made to stare at.”
And Reagan, her past circumstances gave her a vulnerable side, but she’s also strong, honest, straight forward and witty.
“Apparently, my inner goddess is a slut. Yeah, I read Fifty Orgasms.”
There’s also a very touching and important underlying topic encompassed in this book.
“Every woman is someone’s daughter. Someone at home loves her.”
I was a little confused about the order to read all these books in. And, of course Lisa the culprit that got me started on this series helped me out by sending me the link to Goodreads so I could follow what book to buy next so here is the link in case you are confused as well. [...] There are a lot of .5 & even a .6 book to read.
I do have to thank the “culprit” Lisa for getting me started reading these books because this really is a good series and Tammy Falkner really knows how to tell a story that keeps my interest up. Okay on to the next book in this series.
Now she has a chance to help me out which she does. Her father is a lawyer and she gets her father to help him out when he needs it most. When she comes face to face with him again she needs to thank him for what he did that night.
There is an attraction that forms between the two of them that they try to fight but somehow that bond they have now is to strong. Those Reed Brothers are so damnable hot.
