You can use the Calphalon Classic Nonstick 2.5-Quart Covered Sauce Pan in the oven at temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, so you can move it easily from the stovetop to the oven to keep food warm. This sauce pan is intended for gas, electric, electric ring, halogen, and glass stovetops, and should be used with nylon, coated, or wooden utensils to protect the nonstick surface from damage.

How to Cook with Nonstick?

- Never use cooking spray. Aerosol cooking spray leaves a gummy residue that is difficult to remove, and that residue will cause food to stick. Instead, use an oil mister filled with olive or vegetable oil, or dab a bit of oil on a paper towel and carefully wipe the interior of the pan.

- Use the correct heat setting. Use low heat for warming, simmering and preparing sauces; use medium heat for frying, grilling, sautéing, searing or stir-frying; use high heat for boiling or reducing liquids.

- Preheat the pan. Nonstick cookware can take a minute or two longer to preheat compared to aluminum or stainless steel cookware. For best results, make sure your nonstick pan is heated to the proper temperature before adding food.

I absolutely love the Calphalon brand. Well made to last a lifetime. I prepare my meals separately so the small 2 serving size allows for portion control and faster preparation. It's no taller that a coffee mug. Plus it's perfect size to take along in the RV where storage space is limited.

I received this pan in an Amazon box and inside, the pan was wrapped in small bubble wrap with a sticker. No other info and no Calphalon box like they usually come in. I just got it a couple days ago and noticed the lid side is dented. I called the Calphalon company and they said they usually come in a box and it should not be dented like that. The thin part of the lid has vent holes in it and goes inside the pan. They said it could take a month to send another lid and maybe I should call Amazon to see if they would replace it. Amazon said they are out but available from other sellers for $25. more, and I had to send the pan and lid back before I can order another. I then spent another 10 minutes or so calling Caphalon Company for the lid. It’s free but takes a while and I think the design of the thin inner aluminum lid is such that it won’t last long. The company said they aren’t making the smaller sauce pans anymore too. The whole process is just a little frustrating. I bought it because it was POFA and PFE free and wanted to change out my old non stick Teflon pans. Don’t know how the pan itself will hold up.
