I have had this oven for a little over a year now and wanted to submit a quick review. This oven is bigger than my smaller previous B&D toaster oven and this one has convection, so after looking at a ton of reviews and sites, I l chose this one because of size, price, great reviews, and the materials (Stainless outside). It does very well with most things. We haven't cooked a whole chicken in it or a frozen pizza as we just don't use it for those kinds of things. We do use it to toast bread, bake small items like potatoes, and broil grapefruits (don't knock it until you've tried them).
This oven is excellent in all respects except for one item. This oven's display is extremely dim and we can barely see it in the natural kitchen light. I don't have tons of lighting in my kitchen so I was hoping it would be brighter than it is. Sometimes we have to get up real close to the display and cover the top with our hands just to see where the oven is in its program or time left to cook. Another small item that is an inconvenience is the oven won't go below 150 degrees which I was hoping it would. I have times when I just want to keep something warm and 150 is a little high for that lower level temp. 120 would have been perfect, but that's OK.
The good things about this oven are:
1. The stainless steel cabinet, which makes it sturdy and professional looking on the counter
2. The heating is even and accurate
3. The controls are well laid out and work well (once you get the hang of it)
4. The interior is spacious and doesn't get very dirty easily
5. The racks slide in and out easily and the crumb tray is easy to remove and clean
So, I am happy with this Caphalon and would buy it again if the display were brighter, but I don't think there is an adjustment for that. :(
Otherwise, everything else makes it a 5 star product.

Bought this oven two and a half years ago. Was great, rarely used my oven. The product still works just fine, but the digital display is so dim that it is impossible to read. Sad to dump a perfectly good oven just because the display is junk. But if you can't read the display, you can't use the oven!!!

I bought this oven a little over 2 1/2 years ago. Before that I had 2 Krups that lasted less than two years each. It blows my mind that some people say their toaster ovens lasted 7, 8 years. I've had no such luck. I have been extremely happy with this little unit until today, when I plugged it in and it wasn't getting any power. I tried different outlets to be sure it was the oven. It appears the problem is the cord because when I move it slightly near the plug, it gets power. I don't know why this is happening because I've always taken very good care of it. I came here to see if they still sell the same model in case I have to replace it, and was appalled that they are now asking $499! I paid $199 in 2013. That is just insane. As much as I love this little oven, there is no way it is worth $500. I see it is only available from third party sellers, not Amazon. Please get more in stock at a reasonable price, Amazon!
Update: Apparently the issue with the cord is my fault for constantly unplugging the oven when not in use. My handy hubby fixed the issue.

Love everything about this so far! Been using it about a month and it's really changed our lives. We have mostly stopped using the microwave as this little guy heats up so quickly! Cooks things faster (I guess because of the even heat distribution?) and just all-around amazing. I can't wait to actually use it in the summer, when I hate using the oven! My only complaint is that the little grate doesn't come out automatically like many of the others seemed to (from the reviews I read). I have to pull it out which is a little inconvenient because the space inside is small and you have to be careful not to burn your hand, but oh well.

I have had this unit for about a two years now and my only grip is the back-lit display died. Unfortunately Calphalon does not manufacture any more of these and cannot repair or replace them. If my problem was during the warranty period of one year, they said they could have done something....but since they no longer make any electronics....... see my dilemma.
Worked great while I the display was working. I would maybe buy another brand besides Calphalon for small appliances

This oven is a little pricy, but worth every penny!! Easy to use, high quality, has handled every task large and small, with easy to perfection. I looked long and hard prior to this purchase and was heasitant about the price,, in this case, You Get What You Pay For, VERY glad I bought it!! It has simplified my life,.The two hour timer is a great feature as well as easy to clean interior and easy to read display, cooks very evenly regardless of the size of what your cooking, doesn't heat up my kitchen like my traditional oven, much easier to cook for one, or two.
