OK, I get it, this is about the physical book not the content. Content was fine, as best as it goes. But the book was represented as new and the vendor sent a used book with a prior owners markings. This is a growing pandemic problem with Amazon and their third party vendors. BEWARE!
Now to the book. Back some sixty five years ago, yes Caesar was already dead, Latin II was a rigorous study with extensive grammar and vocabulary, and translating almost all of the Gallic Wars. Now this is a course for what I have no idea of. Words, pictures, scant grammar, a few vocabulary words. It misses the essence of classic Latin. It is in a sense a picture book intro to the language.
So between a vendor who misrepresented the sale and the almost child like presentation of the material, well you get the point.
