5.0 out of 5 stars Double page format works really well (see photo)
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 9, 2020
I concur with the reviews that say that this book's excellence lies in its parallel format: the left page being a negative of the right, with the left page having a minimal information overlay, whilst the right page is an unadorned photograph of the night sky. (This isn't terribly clear from LookInside, so I've added a photograph to demonstrate.)

Given that this book will have a niche market, the price is quite high (currently £38), so I plumped for a secondhand one, notionally "damaged" but I can't see why, and I am extremely happy (I paid £22). Having got my miserly mitts on the book, the production quality is impressive I can see that the full price is justified.

My one niggle is that there could possibly have been a few more labels on the lefthand pages. I'm thinking here especially of names of major stars in addition to their constellation letters. That might've made things too cluttered though. As another review said, buying a more traditional star atlas to complement this one is probably a good idea since they fulfil slightly separate roles.
