One thing to be aware of is that this hose is not as wide as a 5/8" garden hose (it 1/2" hose). This reduces the water pressure that the hose can generate. This is to be expected with 1/2" hose but figured I should note this as heads up as the first time I got this hose I based my purchase on the length not width and was surprised.
Ali Julia review
Found this one from Camco and chose it rather than any other because it matched the white 1/2" water hose on our motor coach. We were installing this: Hydro Life 52710 Twin Filtration System (Hydroponics) to augment our drinking water filter installed in the coach. This filter system is in the RV section here at Amazon, but it says it is for hydroponics. We installed it upstream of the main filter. (Call it overkill, but this new system really works well and has eliminated all the white residue from the pipes.)
So, we bought this four foot length of hose to allow the new two-filter system to sit firmly on the concrete slab of the utility pedestal.
So this is how we installed this system:
Brass flow restriction orifice right out of the spigot --> then one of these: Camco 22703 Flexible Hose Protector - Lead Free --> then this 4 foot length of hose, Camco 22763 TastePURE Drinking Water Hose (1/2"ID x 4') - Lead Free --> then the twin filtration system --> then our motor coach's water hose, which attaches to the coach's installed water filter.
The plastic end of the hose doesn't hold anymore.
So, I need to buy another hose or repair the connection .
June 13, 2014 update: I contacted Camco regarding their hose. They informed me that the hoses are only warranted for one year and since I had owned the hose for about four weeks past the warranty they weren't willing to do anything about it.
Poor quality hose, Avoid. I've replaced with a Gilmour. Hopefully, it will last longer than a year.
The hose works just fine and should last a long time, I just wish it came in a 5/8" ID instead of only the 1/2". My supply hoses are both (heated for winter, regular drinking hose for summer) 5/8" ID and the flow rate is affected with the smaller ID hose.
This hose came slightly damaged in production on the female end, I was able to fix it with some quick knife work. No leaks now and works perfectly.
The end screws on to the spigot very easily and I have not had any problems with leaks which I usually seem to always have with regular hoses. The end piece that screws on to the spigot is plastic and could probably be cracked if handled in a rough manner or left out in extreme weather conditions but for me it has been great.
