This "dog bone" did what it is supposed to do for 3-4 uses. I hooked up to my 30 amp outlet and I had no power in my 5th wheel. The first place i put my volt meter was on the shore power side of my transfer switch. I was getting 240 volts on both "hot" lugs and the "common" lug instead of 120 respectively. I then testes my outlet, which passed (120, 120 and 0). I then tested the "dog bone" while plugged in (240, 240, 240) which is really bad! I then unplugged the "dog bone" and did continuity testing. One of the 30 amp prongs is somehow connected to the 50 amp common and a hot socket and the other 30 amp prong is as it should be to just one 50 amp socket. The common, regardless of being 30 or 50 amp should never be "hot"! I can at this point, since this "dog bone" once worked, that the wires inside shorted out causing this failure. As a result the shore power relay on my transfer switch is now welded in the "closed" position rendering it useless. So I just $174 plus my time replacing that. At this point I am not cutting into the "dog bone" to investigate in hopes of a warranty claim. If my claim is denied, I will post a video of the failure as well as what I find inside.
What did I learn? ALWAYS perform a continuity test on products like this and/or similar prior to each use to prevent damage, or WORSE, an electrical fire!!!
