With the 40 oz Chute vacuum, you can get a cold drink and a smooth pour, even in the backcountry. This vacuum-insulated bottle keeps liquids cold for 24 hours (even longer if you add ice), and hot for six. Plus, the cap snaps into the handle, so you can keep it out of the way as you pour. The sturdy, double-walled steel design keeps condensation from collecting on the sides of the bottle, and the powder-coat paint job adds some extra color. The narrow-mouthed opening also makes it easy to drink and pour without spilling, so you won't waste a single drop. After all, nobody wants to end a long, hard day with a lukewarm drink.

I went with this over the Yeti Rambler Bottles because I didn't like the cap of the rambler, I wanted something easier to get a quick drink from.
This cap that Camelback designed is very easy to twist off, take a swig, and twist back to a leak proof finish.
My wife was jealous of my Chute bottle, so I bought her the purple one, (her favorite color), and she doesn't leave home without it.
If you are looking for a bottle with large capacity, and will keep your drink ice cold all day, get this bottle.
If I had one complaint it would be that my girl hands have trouble holding it with just one hand when it is full all the way. It's thick and heavy for that. Once I go halfway through the water it is comfortable to drink and to carry with one hand.
I was looking at the CamelBak website, and they have lifetime guarantees for any manufacturing defects your bottle has (as long as you bought it from an official distributor). It's only a matter of communicating.
This bottle is excellent. I've gone through a couple investments, and I am really, really, really, liking this one. Plus, I feel encouraged to drink more water, as compared to my 27oz Klean Kanteen. I would have to rations that throughout my day.
The stainless steel bottle design is constructed very well, and I'm looking forward to testing how long the vacuum-insulated feature will keep ice in it. The lid and screw on cap are snug fitting, which means no leaks. It's a larger bottle and I wasn't sure if I would like it given that it won't fit in a cupholder, but the features completely outweigh the need for it to fit. The handle is great to be able to lug it around, or attach it to a pack via a carabiner. I was really glad to see CamelBak put a painted-style coating on the bottom part of the bottle to help against scratches.
Great design, stainless construction is excellent, and I can see this going many miles for me.
I have gotten excellent usage from this bottle and am so glad I made the jump to stainless steel. Holds ice for well over 24 hours, even in the heat. Well constructed, easy to clean, wide mouth to accept ice cubes. This goes with me everyday to ensure have a constant supply of something cold and fresh to drink, whether in the car, at the gym, ball fields, or going into the mountains. Great product Camelbak!!
Just for the record...I filled this with ice on Sunday morning (over 2.5 days ago) and some iced tea. Drank most of the tea, left the ice in it and forgot about it for the past 2 days on the counter.
I saw it tonight and couldn't remember if I had cleaned it or not and gave it a shake, and to my amazement (but not surprised!) there's still a decent amount of ice clanking around in the bottle. I'm at a loss of words for how well this is insulated.

I'm a nurse, and use this bottle for all my shifts. I stack it about half full with ice before I leave for a shift. I fill it once I'm there with cooled water from a dispenser. I sometimes go through 3 bottles-full a shift, but even by the second refill (for my third bottle), the ice still remains, and therefore I get ice cold water for my whole 12.5 hour shift. I've not tried using this bottle with a hot drink, but then you'd need either a serious caffeine addiction or be doing a mega hike to require something of this volume to stay hot.
I've knocked this bottle a few times, but I'm glad to say it seems not to dent easily, as some insulated bottles do. The coloured section provides a slightly grippier surface, too. And obviously there's a carrying hook on the lid as well. I think the green colour I chose looks smart, and a little different.
2 notes for users:
1. Obviously the bottle lid is not insulated, and therefore if tipped on its side with ice in, condensation can make the lid quite wet on the outside, but a simple fix for this is just to keep the bottle upright.
2. Don't screw the cap on too tight. Obviously, the cap is plastic and the main body metal. Screwing it too tight could damage the plastic 'thread' of the lid. The lid doesn't need to be stupidly tight to prevent leakages.
If you like your water ice cold, and you're considering buying a water bottle... Look no further.
The tops a little bit of a faff as it doesn't stow (as advertised) and gets in the way a little.
