I highly recommend this product. It's easy and tasty.
I've gone out to eat and had Marsala dishes, and I love them. I've found it hard to search in the obscure aisle of the liquor store for Marsala wine, so I appreciate Campbell's making a packaged version of this classical sauce for a quick and easy weekday dinner. I didn't even know it from the packaging but there are huge cremini mushrooms in the package, not the chopped up pieces the you usually find in a can of soup. I made it with pounded out thin pieces of sirloin, and added a little bit of butter, over angel hair pasta. I don't think a canning co. could do it any better than this.
I decided to give the Creamy Parmesan Chicken flavor of this sauce a try, and I LOVE it! Such a difference. Rich flavor, nice and "cheesy." I've added a star to my original review (based on the Toasted Sesame with Garlic and Ginger flavor).
Creamy Parmesan Chicken works well with chicken or shrimp. My most recent assemblage: half a package of Barilla Tortellini Pasta, Cheese & Spinach, 12 Ounce (Pack of 4), about 6 oz of medium shrimp, peeled/deveined, sauteed in a little butter, and this creamy sauce. Simple, fast, and YUM!
Will definitely be ordering this one again and again!
I tried the I like the idea of this sauce line from Campbell's, but this toasted sesame sauce just didn't "wow" me.
It's OK, but a little bland for my taste, and a little too salty. I used it with chicken tenders, and served it over whole wheat pasta. It's easy to prepare (just brown the chicken, add the sauce, simmer), so that's a good thing. And it's definitely edible.
I may try some of the other flavors, to see if they're any better.
Bottom line: if you want a very quick/easy meal that tastes vaguely Asian, this might be just the ticket. But if you're willing to spend even 2-3 minutes more, you could whip up a much better tasting sauce on your own.
I cooked this with the mushrooms and invited a friend who has eaten this dish in Europe to share with me. She said the sauce was very good, and she would buy it if she saw it in the grocery store. But, like me, she thought it REALLY did need the mushrooms. Even though it is not a standard chicken Marsala ingredient, sauteed, carmelized onions would also be a nice addition, we both agreed. She also commented that it DID taste packaged -- and it is true that no packaged product can catch all the nuances of food that is totally freshly prepared. But -- we agreed -- who has the TIME? So we both thought this is a good foundation for a main dish, but we both would modify it in the manners I have described.
Another modification I made was to cut the chicken breasts into 3 or 4 smaller pieces, so that the flavor could permeate the meat better. She said that if she had been doing the cooking, she would also have done that. I served it over rice, and we both thought it was very good.

Surprisingly good for being a pre-made sauce. We have two boys under the age of two, so I don't have a lot of time to make delicious curry anymore. Read morePublished 26 days ago by adkinsmom914
Frankly, I can make my own sauce using a mix of spices and coconut milk that is far better than this. If you have access to an Asian grocery store do some experimenting. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Lochlan Longstrider
Thai green curry was OK. Too sweet and not hot, but could be easily fixed by some fish sauce/salt and crushed chilli.Published 4 months ago by Chen Yali
