Hailing from Bangor, Northern Ireland, Rend Collective Experiment is a group of friends collectively wondering how to make sense of the conundrum of life, God and community. What Rend Collective Experiment's 15-plus members add to the conversation are melodies, harmonic progression and lyrics that are Scriptural and contemporary, fresh and ancient. Several standout songs reflect the brilliance of Campfire, my favorite live worship album since Cornerstone by Hillsong LIVE. After opening track, "Kumbaya," "Come On My Soul" grabs listeners with the gang vocals and musical style which crescendos to a worshipful chorus and call to worship. "Desert Soul" and "Build Your Kingdom Here" compare favorably to the hit GRAMMY nominated worship song "Beautiful Things" by Gungor, including harmonious male and female vocals and incredible musicianship. "Movements" is an amazing song. I'm completely convicted by the strong lyrics and find immense comfort in this song filled with biblical truth. I am especially comforted by the truth of the lyrics of the song which comes straight from Isaiah 40:30-31.

"You Are My Vision" is a gorgeous re-write of the classic hymn, "Be Thou My Vision," and will have you singing at the top of your lungs. "You Bled" is a stunning re-write of the classic hymn, "I Stand Amazed." "Second Chance" is one of the best worship songs I've ever heard. I'm completely convicted by the strong lyrics and find immense comfort in this song filled with biblical truth. I am especially comforted by the truth of the lyrics of the song--"Oh Your Cross it changes everything, there my world begins again with You, Oh Your Cross it's where my hope re-starts, A second chance is Heaven's Heart." Amen!

I have fallen in love with Rend Collective. Even as a Christian, I tend to steer clear of "Christian" music because it's either too cheesy or the artists aren't really living the Christian life. This CD, along with their other music, is incredibly anointed and powerful. You can sense in their music and lyrics (especially on this Campfire CD, which is raw and real) that they are truly spilling their hearts out for Jesus. Every time I listen to this CD I am filled with joy and a deep desire to praise and worship my God!

My family actually listened to this album all the way through while enjoying a fire in our backyard over Easter holiday. It was a tremendous and special time of worship. For a fun, joy-filled worship album, you cannot go wrong with Rend Collective.

I played this over, and over, and over, and over in my car while my fiance was out on deployment. Celebrating the relationship with God, grew so much while he was gone, and turned a lot of my "missing-him" tears into "God's here" tears. Really excellent album, love the Campfire concept.

These Irish worship leaders have heart. I like "Fireworks," and "You Are My Vision" (Be Thou My Vision, with modern english), as well as their cover of 10,000 Reasons.

I first heard these people on Pandora, and after listening to them once or twice, I found them and downloaded this CD. It's one I never regretted. If you're a fan of folksy guitars, and worship music -- these guys will not let you down.

This album contains absolutely beautiful praise and worship music. The lyrics are deep and thought-provoking, which has really encouraged me in my walk with Christ. I love that they recorded it around a campfire, because in some parts you can even hear the fire crackling and you feel like you're there with them, praising God for all of His goodness and surrendering completely to Him.

The Rend Collective Experiment has been compared to (by many of my friends) as a "Christian" Mumford and Sons. Campfire is an organic, fun and folksy experience with deep, meaningful lyrics in one song, and then (literally) Kumbaya in the next. It has a great mix of meaning and muse but also light-hearted merriment as well!

There isn't a bad song on this cd and its sound is full and rich.

Some of my personal favorite songs include: Movements, The Cost, and Second Chance.
The best song on the album is likely Build Your Kingdom Here a song full of vigor!
Rend Collective's renditions of 10,000 Reasons and You Are My Vision are also worth the listen.
