This is my favorite crafts book for kids and parents. The book is divided into 8 different chapters which vary from things to do with pencil, pen, crayon, chalk, paper, things to print and paint, things to do with cloth, yarn, and string, things to carve, mold, and sculpt, things to do with food, and special things to make. The last chapter is a compendium of things to do when there's nothing to do. Even the Appendix has many more ideas of more things to make.
This book is so easy to use because the chapters are color coded and each page is illustrated well and the directions are clear. This is truly a tremendous book for anyone who is looking for activities to with kids! Very highly recommended!

This book is THE best art resource book I have ever seen. As a teacher and art fiend, I discovered that it just does not get any better or any more creative. Simple enough for kids to follow it on their own, the book is teaming with activities and projects. If I had to recommend any one creative art book this would be it and I have bought copies to share with other people. I always incorporated a great deal of art into my teaching of primary kids and this was a terrific find and fit for me. I'd recommend it for kids, parents, teachers, home-schoolers and anyone with an interest in art at any age! Go for it!

I purchased this book orginally over 12 years ago, when my children were young and while I was running a family home child care business. The kids and I loved it! It's full of wonderful ideas for everyday activities using "recycable" household items such as card board tubes, newspaper, string... many different ideas to keep the projects interesting and the kids busy creating. I recently ordered this book for my grandson and family so as he grows they can enjoy many of the activities together, his mother did growing up.

I was first introduced to this book when I was about 4 or 5. My mother taught preschool and this was her go-to book for activities. Eventually I started teaching, and this was still my favorite. I now use it with all of my nieces and nephews, and even for some inspiration when I'm feeling creatively blocked!

We spent countless hours creating things out of this book. It is an amazing book and I highly recommend it. I used it as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, and the activities inside it never failed to be a big hit. Some things could be messy but that was all right, too. Can't praise it highly enough. Buy it!

An art book done in cartoon style which shows how to create many wonderful things using found items and simple ingredients. It encourages both children and adults to be creative.

I owned this book as a child and pulled it out recently to use in my classroom. It has so many practical ideas that encourage children's creativity.
This is a must have book for any teacher, care-giver, parent, etc.
