This is the story of a parent (yes the drawings are of the father, but let me tell you mother's have the same issue, probably worse) just trying to have a little private time to do his business.
For some reason that is the moment when the kids must talk to him, show him, complain about something to him. When all he wants to do is his business. Maybe read the sports page, maybe a comic or two. But no, that is when the bell strikes and the rug rats run in.
The artistry is amazing on the illustrations. I actually kept wanting to look away because, you know, there was a man on the pot.
This isn't exactly a kids book. (Although there is nothing objectionable in it and it might help keep the rug rats out.) This is a parents rant saying all the things a parent thinks when interrupted doing his business.
And Oh.....I highly recommend this book.
Keep 'em coming!
I loved the art. One picture came to my mind that I wanted to share with the author. I have friends who are now empty nesters. They adopted a small cat once the kids had moved out and they talk to her like a member of the family. She began to follow the Dad around and any time he sat on the toilet, she would climb between his calves and settle in to nap in his underwear/pants as they hung at half mast. The first time the Mom walked past the bathroom and saw a fluffy gray tail flitting between the Dad's legs she was freaked out. Of course, the Mom shared the story.

This is a great book for your kids to read to occupy themselves while you sit on the toilet and go poopPublished 14 months ago by Amazon Customer
This story is really short. I finished it before I was even finished taking a dump. The story was funny enough to entertain me while I unloaded that first log.Published on April 18, 2013 by RonChiChio
It is a fitting title to most parents, but the writing wasn't very good. More rhyming then thought went into it, it sounds like.Published on January 4, 2013 by erin
Pretty lame. Maybe because I do not have kids, and if I did I would kick their a$$ for bugging me while in the bathroom - either way, not for me. Read morePublished on December 22, 2012 by MarieBack
If you are parent this rings true. I found it to be a cute story. Why can't a person take a poop in peace anyway? Parents should make their kids read this.Published on December 19, 2012 by Pickachu
