I get what he’s trying to do with this record but it comes off as feeling like a unfinished and uninventive mess without the soulful heart filled voice and warm bluegrass folk roots we’ve come to love from him thus far. He could’ve released a full acoustic album with songs he’s written in the past and I feel like that would’ve been a home run in comparison
