I followed Ken throughout his 75 appearances on Jeopardy. I could not wait to play his game after seeing it on Good Morning America. I wasn't disappointed. Nor were my co-workers that play it frequently with me during lunch breaks. Who better to design a trivia game than the king of trivia, Ken Jennings?

I was gifted CAN YOU BEAT KEN? on my birthday. I love it so much that I have given away three copies of this terrific game already to trivia nuts on their birthdays. This game belongs in every gamers library.

I gave this game to a friend for a birthday present. I borrowed it from him to bring to my game groups. It's a little confusing when you first do it. In addition to the player's chips that move on the board, you must also move a question mark and Ken Jennings. Ken is a cardboard cutout that moves on his own track on the board. The question mark moves one to four spaces according to the spinner. It also moves on its own track on the board. It will land on a red, blue, orange or green space that determiines the question:

Red - Pop Culture
Blue - True or False
Orange - Multiple Choice
Green - Open Ended

The spinner lands on regular, double, triple, Challenge 1 on 1 or Challenge All. Questions are worth $100K in points, so it takes 26 spaces on the board to reach $2.6 M that represenrs Ken's winnings on Jeopardy. On the challenge questions, players and KEN move BACK if they miss the questions. On the regular, double and triple questions, you just don't advance on missing a question - you stay where you are. Ken was asked all the questions in the game - for the multiple choice ones, he was NOT given the choices. He did miss a few. Questions he missed are shown in heavy type on a grey background. One question he missed was Volkswagen's 60s ad slogan was "Think _______." The correct answer was small. Ken answered HITLER - yes, I'm not kidding.

The first player to reach their $2.6M spot wins. If Ken gets there first, the game goes on till one of the players reaches it. Players are given a marker and pad to write answers during a challenge. The game is a little confusing at first, but once you understand about the moving question mark and Ken, the game becomes fun. A maximum of four players. If you have more than four, pair people up as teams.
