The CanaKit 2.5A Raspberry Pi power supply / adapter has been specially designed and tested for the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and incorporates an inline noise filter for highest stability and reliable operation.

This power supply differs from typical standard 5V USB power supplies in the market in that it can deliver a full 2.5A and still output a voltage well within the USB minimum voltage specifications. Standard 5V USB power supplies in the market have a high voltage drop when the full current is drawn from them which may cause the Raspberry Pi to reboot unexpectedly.

I have bought 2 of these. One of them will flip my arc fault breakers. I have tested this on two different 5v devices. Kinda hard to believe a 2.5A device can do that but this was for sure what did it.

Cana Kit may have just gained a permanent customer. Want a good Raspberry Pi power supply? Want an in-line power switch to save you hassle? Tired of getting a low voltage bolt indicator on screen? This kit is the way to go! Especially if you are using a case with an expansion board with safe shutdown switch such as RetroFlag models, which can cause voltage drops on cheap power supplies. I've been burned 3 times already on other cheap power supplies because I wanted an in-line switch, before I discovered Cana kit has removable USB switches. I gave it a try, been working perfectly, my RetroFlag MegaPi build finally runs without a voltage bolt! Even with the USB ports on a 3B+ fully populated, it's held up for days. Impressive!

I've now got three of these, used with two Raspberry Pi Zeroes and one Pi 3B+. I've heard talk of stability/voltage problems with other similar power supplies, but although I didn't do much research before buying the first one from Canakit, it was trouble-free and so I stuck with the same brand and model for the next two times I needed one. Pay the extra two bucks for the on/off switch in the 5V line, it's worth it to not have to pull the micro-USB cord out.

Good USB Power Supply Except for Adafruit Microcontroller

This appears to be among the better USB power supplies, based on a scan of reviews, but there is a warning in the Adafruit Feather Huzzah ESP8266 IoT Microcontroller NOT to use this device, as it burns out the unit for some reason. I do not know if this is an accurate warning - I did not risk trying it out.
