It's not a secret anymore that cancer is a very profitable business. But like any illness, prevention is easier to manage then treatment. It's mind boggling how alternative medicine is still considered taboo. I am one of those people that strongly believe that eating healthy will most certainly help you stay away from illnesses. As I was reading this book, I even took notes because the amount of useful information is just overwhelming. The table of contents helps the reader find a certain ingredient much more easier and the Basics chapter offers great insight on how the macro-nutrients are devised. I encourage anyone looking to improve their health to give this book a shot. After all, it's not selling a specific product. It's just a well put together, easy to follow eating guide.

We have cancer in our family, so this was a good book to read. It was not sensational, but referenced a lot of research, which I think is very valuable in a time when people/organizations make claims that are not backed up. The introduction talks about the history of cancer in man, which is quite revealing. The author covers foods to eat, those to avoid, activities to engage in and those to avoid to lead a healthy lifestyle. I agree with his assertion that it is best to know the reasons why this lifestyle is being suggested. It creates an attitude of willingness to follow through and make the necessary changes to stay healthy and feel good. Recommended. Will also help those who are making the changes to follow Paleo diets.

This guide is great at showing you the right ways to help you prevent getting cancer. It features all the great foods, activities and exercises you can do, environmental factors and much more. As another reviewer stated "anyone can benefit from this book" and I couldn't agree more.

I'm floored by the sheer amount of knowledge in this book. Cancer Uncensored is not only raw, clear, and focused, but it discusses all angles and corners of cancer and it's treatment. This book approaches the body as a whole, not simply focusing in on the cancer portion. Most importantly, the book hones in on cancer prevention - a topic widely ignored in today's medicine. Just as the book says, "It is time to get serious. It is time to SURVIVE." If you are serious about surviving, and want to know how to avoid or cure cancer, this is one of the best books I can think of to turn to.
Anyone, and I mean anyone, can benefit from reading this book. The amount of information is absolutely mind-boggling. I personally had no idea that cancer was a recent development, and the types of foods that should be eaten (or avoided). This book even gets into the psychology of survival and environmental factors that should be avoided. While we each know on some level that certain activities and foods can raise our likelihood of getting cancer, it's immensely important to have these things all in one list and location.
The icing on the cake? The author includes three "subcategories" to the book, each catering to your reading style (or even how much information you're willing to read through and absorb). He coins these "The Lazy Guide", "The Dedicated Guide", and "The Survivor's Guide". Depending on how much you're willing to dive into the book, each section can help you approach it. This is fantastic, considering that I know many people who need this information but are not avid readers. If you can't afford a large amount of time to the book, however, and still want the critical info, the author has made it easy.
A good friend of mine was recently hospitalized and needed surgery on her brain to remove a malignant tumor. Shortly after, my aunt discovered she had ovarian cancer and is currently in treatment. These two women are fantastic women, have always been healthy, and never expected to have to deal with cancer in their lifetimes. Don't assume it won't happen to you, and don't underestimate the knowledge in this book - it can help save your life, and the lives of your loved ones. I know I'll be keeping this book as a handy reference guide, and passing the word on to my friends, healthy and otherwise!

Excellent Book

A wonderful book which has been used by all of the family whilst helping my dad through cancer. Covers information of all alternative treatments.....including rick simpson oil....which many books on the subject do not include. Also we are using as a preventative method for the rest of the family. The book also discusses modern medicine and the truth behind the statistics. I would recommend to anyone facing cancer or their family and friends. The cheat sheets in the back make the book easy to use. This tool has been so very helpful during such a difficult time. Many thanks to the author for such a brave account of often controversial treatments which have shown to have amazing results.

Incredible cancer 'bible'.

This book is quite incredible.
It's broken down into good and bad foods and to be fair its not rocket science as our diets are growing increasingly bad like the States. I eat between 5 - 10 fruit and veg a day but I also see that I am missing a trick. I could be much, much better.
The author quite rightly prefers prevention rather than cure but also suggests strategies to cope with if the worst did unexpectedly happen.
Great depth to this book, well done Chris!
