Godess). We go way back to our days in Trenton High school . I left Trenton in 1969 so to have all the resturants and clubs mentioned was a delight.
There is also a new path on the landscape of human experience. Sketched in by a bold venture into areas perhaps more familiar to thoughtful people thousands of years ago, who were not so sure of humanity’s mastery of life.
The author has presented a valid hypothesis for the belief in deities when we, with all of our modern shadowy modern high-tech simulacra of life. think that they are explanatory.
He brilliantly (and humbly) achieves this, in part, by submitting to the overpowering mystery of supreme male-female relationships. At the same time he weaves in much of human thought that has been devoted to these powerful mysteries into a paean of his own.
It is completely believable that he has encountered a deity in the form of the Protagonist, for there are few, if any readers, who have ever encountered such a being even though they may, in fact, know her. She is painstakingly understood in all her magnificence by the complete submission of the author to the uncanny manifold splendor which his efforts bring forth for the reader.
It sound simple but it is unique. And it’s a smash
I found. This very entertaining.
Without giving away too many details, the reader joins Candice on life's adventures (business and personal) and becomes acquainted with people, family and friends both past and present.
Intertwined through these stories are short acrostic poems written by the author dedicated to the subject of the book. The philosophical theory introduced in the opening pages is proven through the subsequent chapters and the reader is taken along for the ride (in a very nice 1971 Jaguar E-Type which she still owns!)
Many black and white and color photographs of the subject are included which make the story all the more interesting.
Pick this book up, get to know a very unique and talented woman and have yourself a good time along the way!
