Top Customer Reviews
I especially appreciated the format of this book. Each section is numbered, with an index in the back for quick reference, and each section concludes with questions, which would be really helpful to discuss in a small group or on my own when I'm journaling and need a prompt to go deeper. I want to give this book to several people who would be both comforted and inspired to change.
Even though I wasn't a stone-cold sugar addict from childhood like Jill's story reveals she was, from my late teen years of baking and eating whole pans of brownies before dinner (secretly, of course, pans all cleaned up before anyone else arrived home), to spending a whole bunch of money every day testing out all the new (and old!) gourmet sugar treats, (all the ice cream flavors, the cakes, the special coffee drinks...) at the end of my compulsive eating days, Jill's book provides me with insights and solutions that will now be a part of my toolkit for continued abstinence.
After reading Jill's book I feel less alone, more understanding of some of my repetitive behaviors, and more grateful than ever to have great authors like Jill to accompany me along the path of recovering my sanity and a healthy body.
This exploration will ignite your inner wisdom as you discover your own unique path to transforming your relationship with yourself and food. Jill is a skilled tour guide who knows the territory. Happy exploring!
