I had no idea how easy it was to make preserves. I used to get wonderful homemade fig preserves/jam from my aunt who is now deceased. Her passing meant that her preserves passed from my life, as well. That is until I read the recipe for fig preserves in this book. Now I am able to make the same preserves she did. The recipe was actually quite simple.
I also made a number of the author's soup recipes that were really good including potato and leek soup and pumpkin soup - again, easy to make and delicious. If one is into prepping this is a great book to have. Even if one is not into making preserves, the recipes alone are worth the purchase.

Lots of interesting recipes. Good book for a slightly more experienced preserver who read through the typo mistakes.
