This tripod is great for the occasional tripod user. It is lightweight and does what it is intended to do. I would not recommend it for someone who intends to use it frequently and in rough conditions... there are plastic peices that adjust height and legs, etc. It is an inexpensive alternative for someone who wants to try their hand at photography, but not the choice for a pro or semi pro. Definitely for a beginner like me. No complaints here!

This is a great Canon tripod that works well with my older Rebel. I ordered a cheaper tripod (WT311A) and when it arrived, I knew that I had made a mistake. I should have ordered this slightly more expensive Canon product instead.

My father was a photographer in the 90s, and this is the type of tripod that I am used to. It has a lighter mount area, but has good solid legs, and can handle a heavier camera body if set up correctly (so easy, just tighten down the thumb screws). People have complained about panning issues with almost every tripod when shooting video. The key is to tighten the L to R swivel, instead of leaving it overly loose. Full contact will prevent the vertical rod from skidding/skipping when partially locked to the outside tripod body.

I have a canon t2i with a 18/135mm lens. The stand can handle the weight and doesn't wobble. However - you cannot man handle the stand. Some of the components are made from plastic and they will strip if you aren't careful.

The tripod worked great when I needed to use it. About two weeks ago as I was folding it up to put back into its bag and one of the leg hinges broke. It was about the fifth time I have used it and I took very good care of it, the plastic just broke off and I cannot do anything to fix it.

I have a 1200mm zoom lens on my camera so fine control on this tripod head is a little rough... When zoomed in, making fine adjustments without over-adjusting is difficult. It was however a great price and as a general purpose tripod it works pretty well.

This tripod isn't strong enough for heavy cameras, let alone big lenses.... it could be said that it was my fault for buying this in the first place, but no where does it say something about weight limitations, when you try to set up your camera the weight will bend it, making it time consuming to set it up... if you rotate the camera after setting it up, you will have to do it again as it will bend differently.

Functionally, this tripod does exactly what I want/expect it to do. It is surprisingly more sturdy and heavier than it appears. It is very user friendly and the product (even though advertised as not Prime) arrived on the same day that my Prime (2 day shipping) items arrived.

You can use it on difrents models of cameras, but these models of tripod i am not recommend, the tripod is of poor quality and worse warranty.
I recommend the APGL5 Tripod Ravelli Professional 65 is much better quality and better priced and good warranty
