The Canon EOS 500 (EOS Kiss in Japan, EOS Rebel XS in North America) is a consumer-level 135 film single-lens reflex camera, produced by Canon of Japan from September 1993 until 1996 as part of their EOS system. It replaced the earlier EOS 1000FN and sat in the lower portion of the EOS range, it was superseded by the EOS 500N.

Camera does a pretty good job. It is older and has a different 'feel' to it as it is 35mm film. Very light.
Film has a unique quality to it, the pictures gets an added effect. There are many companies that will develop your film for you either by mail or by in person drop off. Definitely worth the buy if you want to experiment or try something different. I reccomend using black and white film for this camera.
NOTE: I used 35mm black and white Film to take these included pictures. The Camera DOES take pictures in color if you have film that is in color. I know that might seem obvious, but I've met people who didn't realize that (we're all spoiled by digital cameras hehe).
I suggest these films brands for this camera
Kodak BW400CN Professional ISO 400, 35mm, 36 Exposures, Black and White Film
Fujifilm 1068620 Superia X-TRA 400 35mm Film - 4x24 exp, (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
