I have a Canon Rebel Ti 1 and use premier elements 9 for editing the videos. It does a fine job. What I have a problem with is copying onto a DVD. I followed their suggestion of "burning" to a folder, then doing the DVD. That worked. A Roxio program does a better job of burning the saved folder to DVD, though.
Premiere not recognizing .avi and other video formats. Says "not supported. Codec missing." Lame! I'm sure there is a fix but who wants to waste their time. It should install and work. Not having this problem with my other video software.
I have used Premiere Elements for videos for a long time now. It sems as if they are so anxious to get a new version out they do not get all the bugs out of it, such as not recognizing AVI and other missing codecs. I have started using Roxio which I don't really like as much as the Adobe product, but it seems to have fewer crashes, freezes and "pickiness" as to the file extension.
