I found the book intriguing, depicting the life of a young woman coming of age in the 1960's, along with her gay cousin. It was very frustrating when it ended with the type of cliffhanger utilized by TV shows to get viewers to watch the next episode. While I would have liked to have known what happened next, it is doubtful I will read the next book.

The start of this book was interesting but as the story evolved it lost something for me and I could just not finish it. This is book one of a six-part series that I just left was not for me but if you enjoy a coming of age journey set in the sixties this just may be a better read for you. I thank the Author for an ARC copy of this book to which I have written my honest and voluntary review.

Just a wonderful coming of age story set in the crazy 60"s. The cast of characters would certainly make it on your guest list for the "It " party, provided you are not a prude! Live this series and highly recommend!
Martin, thank you for writing this book. As we are in lock down, I wanted to sit down and read a book which took me away from things. This book certainly did that and more. One heck of a brilliant read. Can't wait to see what happens next
4.0 out of 5 starsA '60s girl learns to exploit her charms to reach the stars.

Wow, what an emotional and exhausting rollercoaster ride through '60s Britain following a young girl's transformation from ugly duckling to a confident and sexually rampant swan, despite a horrendous beginning with a dysfunctional and squalid start.
All in the context of fast-changing moralities, and as part of an eclectic circle of bohemian friends and conquests. As a debut novel this is an exceptional portrayal of unconventional lifestyles, the angst and frustration of the gay community, and one girl's relentless ambition to reach the top by whatever means she can. Well done!
