The synopsis tells you the story and Tori tells you her journey. Six months after her mother died of cancer she faces the same fate. Given a death sentence of three months, she decides that she doesn't want to die alone. In the hopes of finding her mother's lost lover she in return finds her own love.
I adored Tori's strengthen and determination. I liked her quirky, recluse of a personality. I will admit her take on herself dying was depressing. I wanted her to fight and I felt like she didn't ...I will admit however had I been in her shoes and experienced what she did I would have been more realistic and less optimistic as well. I cried for Bo, I cried for the love loss between them. They had just found a special, once in a lifetime kind of love only for him to watch a price of his die with her. I thinks that's what gutted me most about his story.
A tragic but beautiful tale of grief, loss, love, happiness and life. Once the last word is read and the tears have dried, the story stays with you reminding you to live every second and every minute like it's your last because nothing is guaranteed.
And just a fair warning, this book is sad right from the beginning, don't get me wrong there are some pretty funny parts, but I cried so much during this book. But it was all worth it because it was a very good story. I will definitely be re-reading this one again soon!
Second, I think that the plot is absurd, finding an old acquaintance of your mother in hopes that you won't die alone, I'll take it as it is.
And lastly, once I've accepted the flaws, I appreciated the story. It is a story about compassion, love, heartaches, saying goodbye, and moving on.
