I didn’t realize this was the third book in the series when I read it. It read as a stand-alone. However, I want to go back and read the first two just so I know how the series starts. From the minute I started reading this story I was hooked. I love superhero stories. The idea that every day humans were suddenly turned into superheroes is a very intriguing idea. Divide them into a good side and evil side and you have the makings for a wonderful movie or TV series. That is how this read. The characters are fascinating. Each has their own super power. However, the main character is a normal who used his talents to create a suit that makes him a superhero. He has a mission to make people believe that all of them can be superheroes by doing what needs to be done, instead of waiting on those with true super powers. I don’t know that the author meant there to be a message within the story but I did find it inspiring.
The beginning of the book tells us a little about where the main character came from, his backstory with an abusive father. His generous, and wealthy uncle is the man who changed his life. I would have liked to know what had happened to his father. It wasn’t really important to the story, just a curiosity of my own. The first two novels in this series are written by different authors. It will be interesting to see how their writing style flows with that of this current book. I did enjoy it. It kept me reading late into the night.
Young Sebastian, having been accepted at the Minnesota University of Technology, was more than happy to escape his drunkard father and years of abuse. His uncle Rooney helped him financially and morally. 12 years later, the superhero Paladin hit the streets of Chicago with a wish to serve humans, to revive justice, to unravel the truth about mysterious things, which led to the emergence of new species of Super-Normals on the streets of Chicago. The government is broken, and the world is very close to imploding on itself. Who can help in such a situation? The answer is so clear.
The theme of superheroes will never become obsolete, but the author's skills push it to a completely new, exciting level. Vivid and emotional characters: Paladin, Thief, Blurr, Lydia, a plot that never fails to entertain the most curious minds, a great role of universal values and a lot more can be found on the pages of this highly addictive adventure! Idiomatic expressions make the language of narration expressive and complete, complementing the character images and the story-line enormously.
Submerge into the wonderful world of super-heroes, fights with powerful enemies, exceptional abilities and mysterious secrets, and I bet you will never be disappointed! I highly recommend this book!
Braxton A. Cosby wrote a great book! Even though The Cape was a book three, it didn't seem like it. I was able to understand just about everything going on in this book. The characters were well thought out, and there were a lot of descriptive words used.
I liked Sebas because he was a Normal who was just as capable as the Super-Normals, even though he only had a super suit, whereas the Super-Normals were enhanced.
Filled with action, adventure, and plot twists, with humor sprinkled in, I didn't want to put this book down. I would recommend this book for ages 12 and up because there was some death.

This is a well thought out story; the author knows his craft well. Although the story is based on superheroes, it is also very believable and I could relate to some of the characters .There is a lot of suspense and I found myself looking forward in anticipation to the next scene. This book packs in a lot of adventure and is fast paced too. I really could not put it down.
I must admit I really enjoyed reading it. There was a good mix of adventure and suspense to keep me thoroughly entertained. The story flowed very well and at the end I wanted more. If you like superhero novels, you will definitely like this book. I highly recommend it.
Will definitely recommend to all friends and family
