So, in order to achieve this, I wear the Capezio Men's Footed Tights (black/medium) under my clothing. The tights serve as my socks and underwear (I don't have to wear actual socks or underwear) in addition to slimming my appearance and smoothing out my "fat rolls". Lol. Wearing the tights under my clothing, I don't have to worry about my socks falling or having underwear lines. I'm short (5'4"), so the top of the tights stops just above my belly. This great because it's slimming action helps to slim my belly and handles.
In addition to the tights I also wear the "Azure Men's Slimming Body Shaper Tank Top" (black/medium). I put this on first and then the tights. The tights extend over the lower portion of the tank, adding extra slimming action to my belly and handles. Once everything is on, I look a lot slimmer and smoother and my clothes fit and look a lot better.
If you want real professional grade tights you need to spend at least twice this amount and you may still get burned. They also have a gusset in the crotch area which only tears apart after a few uses. Not good. Men don't need this.
I'd spend another ten bucks and get better quality.
Also they run small, the large is quite snug for a 29-30 in waist but I like the feel.
First of all, these are semi-opaque tights, not completely opaque. The knit structure becomes open when stretched. Wearing them while just standing reveals nothing, but if you bend over it's a different story. I had to get a full seat dance belt because it was embarrassing to wear these tights in ballet class.
The fabric is very warm - it is good to wear in winter but not under stage lights or in the heat of summer.
The one thing I like about these tights is that they are very black and they are very tight, so it feels like they compress and give you support. Size Medium worked very well for me - I am 5'6" tall, 30" waist.
Other reviewers have mentioned that these are tight tights, and the sizing is on the small side, so if you are in doubt get the next larger size. I have bought Capezio for years and they are durable and comfortable. The fabric, while thick, seems to breathe. I am often outside in the cold whether riding, fixing or shoveling and these are a great layer. These are not medical compression tights, which often cost a LOT more. That said they do, by their nature, perform some compression functions which help my legs feel so much better after walking long hours on concrete. One reviewer noted that these have a seam in the back which can leave a mark on the leg, I never notice this while wearing them, although I can see where the seam was when I take them off. A little pricey, but they help my legs feel much better, and for that they are well worth it.
