Wife, who has a massive crush on Mr Goldblum, almost said dirty swears when she opened this gift on Christmas morning.
Product was in great condition, and that bloody little sticker on the case came off easily for quick listening.
This is a great album, with great special guests.
It’s not “jazz” as one might expect. Jeff isn’t attempting to play every note on the piano as many times as possible in 7 minutes.
This is more along the lines of Coltrane or Miles Davis. Great for late night driving, a classy dinner, or just a good Sunday morning newspaper in the parlor session.
Jeff provides just enough banter to be slick, but doesn’t get too cheesy.
If you’re looking to buy this because somebody in your life has jumped on the Jeff Goldblum bandwagon because of social media, you’re making a great choice. Not only do they get what they want and they can brag on Instagram to their comic con friends, but hopefully they’ll listen to this album and be turned on to some real, quality music.
Win win.

The record labels are MISMARKED 33 1/3 RPM. Both records are 45 RPM.
Who would have know that Jeff "Jurassic Park" Goldblum was a musician AND a good one too! He surrounded himself with Class A musicians and vocalists. I consider this album Contempory Jazz and IS a Live recording. The polish and the style is remarkable.
Aside from the speed being mismarked, the pressings by GZ in the CZ are impeccable. Sure wish that UMe had the remixed Beatles "White Album" pressed there.
But, it sure seems funny that with the title "The Capitol Studios Sessions" that it would be on the Decca record label. UMe owns both labels. Another but, the Capitol Tower, nicknamed 'The House that Nat(King Cole) built', is no longer owned by Capitol, EMI or UMe. Do the 'studios' still exist, which were below street level with echo chambers under the now non-existant parking lot? The only reason that the Capitol Tower is still standing is because it has been preserved as a landmark.
My recomendation, if you enjoy light jazz and great vocals, you will love this album.
