I bought this book to make hats for charity. I have completed one hat and am at work on a second. They only take about 2-3 hours to make and I hope to have at least 10 by Memorial Day weekend for a specific charity. The instructions are clear and easy to reproduce. Drew writes just like he instructs on TV, clearly and concisely. My hat looks like the one in the picture!

This is a nice enough little book, however it was touted to have the newer style of caps like those worn on television lately. (Pretty Little Liars, etc.) There are few patterns in the book and only the ONE pattern for the slouchy caps and that is the one shown on the cover.

There are some really nice hat designs in this small book. The price is reasonable...even if you want to buy it for just one or two of the designs. However, I think the explanations of the patterns looks way more complicated than it actually is.

I love the Crochet Dude's work and this book contains a couple of my favorite hat patterns. I have only made a couple of them thus far but plan to make more. Good price as well!

Love all six of the patterns in this book. They are all very wearable and the patterns are well written. So far I've completed the slouchy beret and can't wait to get started on one of the other patterns - I just have to decide which one. Thanks Crochet Dude!

These cap patterns are all currently fashionable. I was especially happy to find a guide to the yarns used for each cap, by manufacturer, color and yarn weight in the book.So often you see something that you want to duplicate and have no idea what materials to use to get the same result. The patterns are easy to follow, with the lesser known stitches explained step by step. I hadn't followed a pattern for a few years, so these prompts were very handy for me. Each pattern is also ranked by difficulty level, with none of them being too advanced for a person with average skills, like myself.

The hats are fabulous, but the first hat I've done seems to have incomplete instuctions, so I had to work from the picture.
I hope the other patterns are written better, incase I am unable to work from the picture, I buy a pattern book to "learn" .

I love this book in the patterns that are in it so much that I have purchased five of them and made sure that I never am without one plus I have given some to others. The only problem is, it's designed to use with Caron Country yarn and they stopped making that yarn, so now I have to buy it off of eBay when I make these hats. I've made them out of other yarns, and they turn out best with Caron Country Yarn.
