The temper tantrums from the mother and son seemed a little much.
My favorite parts were the family time, in the beginning, with Kyrah's family and while Ritcherd is at sea. Favorite character would be Captain Garrett and his ability to describe the sea, be a discerning friend and teacher. I was intrigued by the crew of the ship and their prior occupations.
Didn't love the names of the main characters. Was saddened to see that the author took the story further than necessary in their physical relationship. I will take a less in a storyline to keep my mind clear off filth but I'm surprised this finds its description as Christian. It seems they have no clear faith. Swearing, sex, and then God help me? Disappointed. I felt like the author was trying to pacify everyone or maybe she has no definitions in her beliefs.
This was so intense and heartbreaking. I couldn't put it down until I finished. I sobbed for Kyrah as she found herself alone in a new world with no one to care for her. And I cheered for Ritcherd as he cast off his doubts and fears and went after her. Best love story ever!
