Gideon Jones came back from war a changed man. Though the Maverick Billionaires claim he's one of their own, he knows he doesn't deserve to be part of their tightly knit unit. Just like he doesn't deserve Rosie Diaz--an amazing mother...and an utterly captivating woman that he can't stop dreaming about.
Rosie Diaz pulled herself out of the foster care system and made a great life for herself while raising Jorge, the son she adores. Only one thing is missing--a good man, one she can respect and love with her whole heart. A man exactly like her best friend's older brother Gideon.
When Rosie and Gideon agree to take care of Matt and Ari's son, Noah, while the couple is on their honeymoon, they have no idea of the havoc two matchmaking little boys can create. Not to mention the steamy kisses that Rosie and Gideon can't help but steal from each other as their connection deepens and grows. But when mother and son are threatened, Gideon will stop at nothing to protect them. Will he finally believe that he truly is Maverick material...and worthy of Rosie and Jorge's love?

I was surprised that this wasn’t the last book. I expected it to be Lyssa’s story. I’m so glad that there’s more to come, and they’re going to encompass their growing family.
Gideon was a sweetheart, but he was so filled with guilt over what happened to his sister and his Iraq teammates. He honestly thought he was to blame, and didn't deserve to be happy. I loved how Rosie helped him see that he wasn't to blame, and had done the best he could under the circumstances. He and Rosie were perfect for each other, and I liked that they found their HEA.
I loved Rosie's son Jorge and Noah (Matt and Ari's son). It was adorable how they planned to get Rosie and Gideon together -- they were the cutest little matchmakers. Their interactions with Gideon and all the Mavericks were incredibly sweet.
I also liked how all the Mavericks immediately got involved when Rosie needed help with her ex. They already considered her and Gideon part of their "family", simply because Gideon and Rosie were important to Matt's wife Ari.
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

This book had a lot of cute moments. I liked the interactions between Rosie, Gideon, and the boys. However, the plot of this book is similar to the plot of another Bella Andre book. Both of them have single mothers that were dumped after telling their child's father about the pregnancy. The child's father then goes on to marry a woman who can't have kids, so they try and seek out the child that they rejected in an attempt to remedy the situation.
I guess I'm a little biased because the other book is actually one of my favorites, so I had a hard time getting into this one. However, it's a good book overall and there are some plot points (Gideon's war backstory, for instance) that are a little different than the other book. And while it can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading the previous Maverick books beforehand. They make appearances and it can be a little overwhelming (despite the explanations) for a new reader.
We met Gideon and Rosie Diaz in book three, Fearless In Love. Gideon Jones was former military and had been trying to find his sister for years after learning his mother had died, which left Ari in foster care. Rosie was a single mom and had been one of Ari’s best friends since they had been in foster care together. Fast forward to Captivating In Love and the authors opened with Ari and Matt’s Wedding.
The plot was a very slow build while enumerating every detail of Matt and Ari’s wedding. Then the authors dug further into Gideon and Rosie, their back grounds and their personalities. Although interesting and written with depth, it was a little slow for me until a suspenseful element was added around the last third of the book. I then couldn’t put it down and enjoyed the full circle. It was a journey of healing, acceptance and love.
The authors also blessed us with the full maverick gang and the bond of loyalty. Lyssa is next up and sounds intriguing.

Plus, I loved how Gideon and Rosie's romance developed and how two sweet, adorable and entertaining six year olds conspired to bring them together. And peacocks aside, I really had a great time reading it, and there's no denying it left me feeling extremely contented. Which is why I would happily recommend it to others, particularly if you're looking for a well written, satisfying romance to curl up with for a couple of hours.
