Capture Me is the long anticipated spinoff to the Twist Me series, and is finally here.
I’ve absolutely loved every single book written by Anna Zaires. Her stories only get better and better, and Capture Me is not the exception. Not only was I immediately sucked into the story, but in addition I found myself unwilling to put my tablet down until the very end. This is the story about two broken souls trying to fight their own demons, as their undeniable passion for each other exploded.
Yulia and Luca's story is absolutely fantastic, and did not disappoint. YES, we get it from the very beginning. Remember when Julian and Lucas traveled to Russia and the interpreter tried to seduce his boss right before their plane went down? That's right, isn't that freaking amazing? I'm also starting to understand why Julian is allowing Lucas to keep Yulia alive for now, since she was in part responsible for the attack where many of his man were killed.
Will he order her execution? Would there be a face-off between Lucas and Julian if the order is given? Is it just obsession or a forbidden dark and dangerous love?
I really feel for Yulia after meeting her up close, and want to get to know more about her. (Well, this is me talking after reading Anna's brilliant writing style. She manages to make me feel transported to their world, were I can practically touch them).
Capture Me is fast-paced, so beautifully well-written and well-developed. Intense, dark, erotic, magnetic, captivating, suspenseful, thrilling, and deeply intriguing. The characters are memorable-likable and believable, and with so much chemistry and savage passion that you can see sparks; the plot engaging, and with well-chosen settings so amazingly described. Anna's ability to find the right words to create an amazing and equally strong story line is utterly unique. I found myself playing vivid images in my mind and feeling every emotion while reading the story. Not everyone that claims to be a writer possess that ability. And that's exactly what separates a remarkable writer from everyone else.
Even though this book ends with a cliffhanger, Anna manages to leave you satisfy and just looking forward for the next installment. OMG! I Can't wait to find out was going to happened next.
If you like Dark Romance Genre, I highly recommend this book.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and I'm so grateful for that (WHOO-HOO). However, make no mistake because I already have pre-order my copy to add to my collection as I always do.
If you haven't read the Twist Me series yet, I'd reccomend you start there. Lucas is the second in command to the powerful arms dealer, Julian, who stars in the Twist Me series. While this book could be read on it's own and still be mind blowing in it's own right, the plot lines surrounding Lucas and the blonde captive he has tied up in his house will make more sense having read Twist Me first.
This was another amazing page turner by Anna Zaires, and offers an up close look into the life of Lucas Kent and his captive and lover, Yulia Tzakova. I'm so glad I bought Bind Me at the same time, as I can't wait to continue reading this amazing story!
It's so crazy to read about Lucas' thoughts and feelings. Several times I stopped and tried to reconcile this Lucas as opposed to the Twist Me series Lucas. As the saying goes, a woman will cause the mightiest man to fall.
Yulia is the reason the plane crashed and Lucas is determined to make her pay. He convinces the authorities to release her to him. What he doesn't count on is his strong feelings for her. He is appalled to learn Yulia started her training as a spy at 11. Does this excuse her behavior? Yulia has a lot more at stake than she reveals so she is pretty tight lipped. She is definitely softening towards Lucas whether she realizes it or not, however.
Lucas and Yulia are explosive in this first installment. They both believe a relationship can't work between them. Will they break through their barriers and learn to trust?
This first installment is a very good companion to the Twist Me series. It's interesting to read another take on the infamous plane crash, the lack of security resulting in Julian's kidnapping, and the events leading up to Yulia's arrival at the compound. I am happy to read nothing happened between Lucas and Rosa. That would have been AWKWARD.
This story is NOT dark and is completely different from Julian and Nora's story. This story is great on its own and should be enjoyed as written as opposed to the expectations of the darker elements in the Twist Me series.
5 stars for Lucas and Yulia!
