6-20-17: approx 7 months in use- the cats have discovered the rope covered scratching posts and now the rope material has come undone and are a mess. I'm going to contact the manufacturer to obtain new posts and will update. That cats still love it though....
She's never used the hammock, and honestly... The clips it comes with to hold it up is almost a joke. Cats are crazy especially when they play... So the hooks get unlodged so easily and the whole thing just unravels after that. So I've just removed mine all together and stuck a little bed in there instead. Maybe my cat just doesn't like hammocks... she doesn't seem to use her other one ever either.
I figure that in a few years, if the carpet starts to go south, I can easily replace it myself for very little time and money.
