Update After just using this 6 months, the brown faux fur is coming off when they scratch it. I'll add photos. I am applying for a refund.
My cats love this and use it daily. The 3 hanging toys are hooked on well and the cats love them. The love sitting on top though I don't see them go in the boxes much at all. They enjoy the scratching posts. It's nice and tall. The only con is the sides of the boxes are made of a totally thin cardboard that came already flimsy and bending out. It would not take much to tear the boxes up. Such a nice stand for such cheap box sides. Think of a cereal box and you have the thickness of those boxes covered in nice soft furry material. But, since they don't really use the boxes, and the bottom floor of the boxes is plywood, it's ok. I would buy it again for the 3 shelves on top and height. It gives them a lot of room to jump around and boy do they. And yes, it is sturdy. Doesn't tilt even with them running around.
Made really well.
(You do not over tighten)
My cats, I have 7
They play, sleep,
Jump from top to another play area
Yes definitely get this.
I have a big boy and it hold up to his weight
The only reason I give it four stars is, my kitty found it hard to climb at first. It might have been harder for him because the poor cat was de-clawed before I got him. He tried to jump to the white shelf and failed spectacularly, hitting his side and hurting himself a little. For a while afterwards I had to bait him with treats to get him to even go near the thing. We fixed the problem by switching the top box and the pillar next to it, putting the white shelf at an angle to the platform below it and creating a small area for him to leap off of. Now he's always on the cat condo, napping on the white shelf, watching guests from the top shelf, or happily manhandling that tough little mouse toy.
*UPDATE with photos: my 7 month old tomcat can't really fit on this thing anymore, although he insists. His weight pulls on the platform and I keep expecting him to topple the whole thing over. I have tightened it from top to bottom several times, and now it's becoming unstable because now I tighten the bolts but it doesn't really do much anymore. I will have to replace this soon, after 6 months of hard play by 2 rambunctious kittens.
Final update: After the whole cat tree fell over, I weighted the base down and ordered another one immediately. It came in today, 4-27-16. I spent more money this time, got a much nicer product, and I won't buy this brand again.
