However, not long after beginning the 'book', did I realise that it was a fantasy bubble of mumbo jumbo sex-talk and very little cohesive 'story' or narrative. The dialogue between characters calls for the use of a translator - one has to read between the lines continually as the 'story' spills out all over the place, with no definition, style or thought for the readers enjoyment. I thought I was reading the drunken cascadings of a delirious nymphomaniac.
Sorry - not enough Tarot (again no explanation of how/what/why/where in relation to the use of) and too much 50 Shades-Wannabe Sex.
Quickly she disrobes our inhibitions and takes us into our secret passions. Her imagery is provocative without being cheap or crass. You are filled with sweet visions of sex yet you also come to know the people in the story as complex and real.
I feel Thea does an excellent job of showing us the relationship between sex and love and the feelings that are brewed when they are joined together. The relationship between sex and pain is even more mysterious but in this work we begin to understand it rather than judge it because of the passion with which Thea Writes.
This is erotica not pornography. Enjoy it with someone if you can.
